NO Doug. The worst bad beat in history is the one you took against a guy called Jimmy. You had pocket Jacks. Jimbo pocket deuce's. Flop J 10 10 for top boat. Young Jim virtually dead. checks around and the turn is a deuce. Now there is life in him but still way behind. River...another deuce.. The footage of you showing the dealer putting her hand over her mouth and gasping is priceless. THAT was the worst bad beat ever (And you still didn't go broke! as you just flat called!)

I had a similar but even worse bad beat hit me when I flopped quad 8’s and my opponent made runner runner quad aces. And this was before bad beat jackpots!

Been there done that.. f@cking sick! Hero Got pocket kings (BB) action fold all the way to Villain1 (CO) w/ AdJd raise to 2.5bb then Villain2 in position (D) 3bet reraise, SB fold, then I 4bet reraise CO fold.. (D) just flat call. Flop comes KdQsQc.. hero bet 40% of the pot, villain2 call.. turn is a 5d.. hero bet 70% of pot then villain shove all in! WTF.. I ended up calling and river is a 10h. Villain got QdQh.. goddamn! Question: should I folded my hand when the villain shove all in before the river?

Dude I had the same thing happen to me. I had QQ flop comes Q72 rainbow. I bet, got a few calls. Turn comes and it's a 3, I doubled my bet and got 2 calls. River comes it's another 3. I go all in and get called and dude had a pair of 3s. Unfuckingbelievable. How is someone calling when they've got 3s with 2 over cards on the table? Absolutely brutal.

That wasn’t shit, I’ve been searching for a bad beat on RU-vid and there isn’t one. I thought I finally found one, that the A would come on the river but it turned out to be more lies. I haven’t seen one on here that was even one tenth ad bad as the cheating hand i was cheated with tonight. Not a single truly bad beat on RU-vid? I had Q9 on my big blind, flop QQ9, small blind bets, I raise, cheater jams for 350. We both call, small blind has Q4, cheater has 22, turn 2, river 2.

What made this hand even more brutal is the River. When you have Aces Full and your opponent raises All-In, you assume they hit the Nut Flush or at worst were slow playing a Smaller Set and you're going to cash in big time. Only to find out your opponent has the only 2 cards that can beat you.

How is it the worst in history though? You all have seen the quads vs. royal flush in the WSOP with Ray Romano at the table. That's the worst in history.

almost had the same thing happen to me. had quad 8s on the flop, except the river was also an ace for the opponent (giving him quad aces). and the casino didnt have a bad beat jackpot. RIP.

I remember in classic HSP when Negreanu had a full house against ... was it Gus Hansen's quads? He was on a huge losing streak and took some major bad beats.

World Series there two I remember. Straight flush beat by a higher straight flush. Probably around 1989ish? Then a few years ago dude hit quad Aces on the River and got beat by a Royal.

I guess he's just going to forget the riverred A♦ on an A♥ 9♣ Q♦ 10♦board when Justin Phillips had K♦J♦and Motoyuki Mabuchi Had A♠A♣ on the biggest stage in the world the 2008 WSOP main event. I'm sure I will never see quad Aces get beaten by a royal flush again in my lifetime. That hand alone is something like 2,000,000,000:1.

Love getting a reminder of my worst beat which trumps this but not on TV. Sit down at a 20/40 NL table with 4000 after winning a 600 person 5 🦌 unlimited rebuy tournament. first hand: I had the aces, other guy had the 8s, flop AKK, turn 8, river 8. He was all in at the turn with a 10k pot. Would have turned $5 into 10k in 27 hours, and was ready to buy a seat at WSOP where I likely would have lost the money then, instead, I quit poker for two years.

What is even the purpose of Jungleman's dumb costumes anymore...? Is there any? Is just being a weirdo poker-savant not enough of a gimmick, he has to come to every event in some elaborate get-up every-time he's on camera as well...? Like, it was _sorta_ funny when he 1st started doing it (I guess) but to continue on long after it's worn out any of its initial charm or comedic value, (like Ryan Reynolds in _Harold & Kumar...)_ I'm left asking _"but... Why?"._

Nerds these days, KTs on HJ wouldn't call KTs, rather going for 4bet bluff if enough 3bet was made. And especially given that jungle man would over call then GTO chart if HJ calls there. So calling KTs EV gets lower than chart. So i4bet/fold is more reasonable than just always going for calling like you say.

I strongly disagree with the preflop call with KTs, your hand is really dominated (presuming SB has a pretty linear Squeezing range) and hitting poor top pairs in presumably 3-way spots with low SPR is rarely good. Even in my preflop ranges, 88 is almost always folded in this spot (100bb deep). If we want to put the analysis further, it would be nice to question ourself how we should play our range on the turn and river in these players ranges. Do we shove AQs in Jungleman's shoes ? How do we build our bluffing range on the river if we assume reasonable tight preflop ranges ?

Hey whoever. Many years ago before they made online poker illegal in Florida I had the ladies in the hole. It flops 88Q. I was first to act and bet $50. My opponent went all in for $400 or so. I called. He turns over pocket 8's. Unlike that guy in Doug's video I did not lose. The River was another lady for Quads over Quads. This was also back in the day when you could type in comments. A couple of comments from the other players were about the site being rigged. Also I have a biz for sale that has six figure results every year. wow how amazing at eh oh el

I have twice, both times live, once in a 3-6 game at San Manuel when they still had a cardroom, the other time at a 1-2NL game in the greater Chicago area, in northern Indiana, started with QQ and flopped Q8x with no straight possible, played it hard and fast and paired the board with the 8 (at San Manuel on the turn, in Indiana on the river) and lost to 8888. TWICE this has happened. Nuts on the flop. At the limit game I didn't even go broke, we were heads up at the end (multiway capped up to then) so we could have put it all in but by the time we went 7 bets or so I just called with my second-nut hand.

This happened to me yesterday on 5nl zoom. Sb tried to steal my BB, I 3 x pre. He calls flop QA8. I had AA. He bets I smooth call..the turn is 8. He checks I bet he calls. River is a blank. He checks I bet he jams..I snap. He shows 88

I guess it’s a matter of semantics, but is this REALLY the worst beat in history of poker? The dude with aces was going to get felted on the 886 flop most likely even if the ace never came. Pot was over $200k after the flop and he only has slightly more than $300k behind.

Pocket 8s crack pocket Aces all the time. I saw pocket 8s lose to 8/6o today. I see this matchup constantly in online tournaments and variance means you can definitely spike an 8. There are two more. Pocket pairs are the #1 hand I and I imagine most other players lose to and it’s because the quality of your hand is so easily concealed. Just today I lost half my stack to a player who shoved all in quad 8s against my full house aces over 8s. It’s not the worst beat ever. I got a QQ cracked on an all in by Q2s, that’s like over 98% favorite. Everyone can peddle bad beat stories but that is way worse than 88 beating AA heads up.

This is not the worst bad beat in history. My opinion, the worst bad beat ever was the quads VS royal flush in the WSOP (2011?) Cat remember the year, but yeah. Insane bad beat.
