You haven't seen many Q3 vids, have you? While i admire the work and as former Defrag player myself i know and respect the skill involved to beat these maps, i find the editing quite boring. Also, for my liking the music doesn't suit the tense game-play. I know this maybe sounds rude and if you enjoy this video - perfect. But you shouldn't compare it to the masterpieces made available over the years and say this is one of the best.

Incredible. I couldn't do that with a tool-assisted run including infinite rewinds and a cup of tea when I got frustrated from missing the same jump 100 times. Good on you.

20 years ago I played some years q3 and I still love this game. In 1999 I can't imagine to play a game that is 20 years old but today it's great to see, q3 is still alive. Nice video. Very skilled player.

Who was the performer on that first 3'37'' run (nevermind, i watched the credits) ? It is the most beautiful Defrag run i ever saw in my life, awesome video ! Oh and one question, i can't tell from what i see: is it a mistake at 1'06'' ? Or is it to gain momentum for the next jump ?

The 1:06 moment is not really a mistake, it's just a safe way to get to that tiny border to gain momentum for next jump. The thing is, if attempted to jump on that border directly, there is a very annoying OB (designed by the map author, of course), which is quite unpredictable and that's why I avoided it. Actually, the map contains a lot of such devilish little obstacles, which can not be seen at the first sight, that's what makes this map so great =)

В этом году как-то времени на дефраг совсем не остается, но я точно буду участвовать в DFWC 2017 =) Насчет мувиков - еще один по дефрагу точно сделаю, небольшой, минут на 5-7, может быть даже этой осенью выпущу. А дальше уже надеюсь на Quake Champions переходить

The first map in this movie (pea_xpanicx) has four different skyboxes, which were recorded separately. I think it's impossible to make it look like that in-game, sadly. But boris maps have alternative versions with skyboxes from this video, they can be found in the archive link in comments. Also, you're welcome on dfcomps.ru site, there's some info how to start playing defrag and participate in ongoing competitions :)

@@n0sff thanks for the help, I'll check out the link! Kinda sad that the high res sky boxes can't be added but oh well haha Anyway, I've been watching defrag videos for a few months now and decided to get into it. This video is probably my favorite so far
