I’m studying my PhD, the books I’m reading are so confusing. This video is excelente. I learned more from here than from the lectures and books. Thank you!!!
I've been struggling trying to figure out the difference between qualitative and quantitative research. This video does an EXCELLENT job explaining just that! Thank you!
Way more helpful than I was expecting. I am about to start a unit on Healthcare Research and just needed a quick refresher to get my thinking started and this was very helpful
I'm taking Research Methods in Social Work this semester. The readings (explanations and examples) in my class have been confusing, but this video made a lot of sense to me. I will definitely be watching more of your videos, and will subscribe. Thanks for the help!
Thank you very much MR.SINN, It is very helpful video for those students or even researchers to have an overview concern Qualitative and quantitative approach. Wishes.
Your video was very insightful into helping me understand the difference between qualitative and quantitative research. Your explanation and examples made it easy to grasp the differences. Thank you.
When you look for some explanation about these two methods and stumble accross things in Portuguese in an English video, I'm from Brazil btw. Good intro.
thank you Mr. Sinn! this is going to be in our exam today & I was really confused between the two since they both seem pretty much the same but now, I understand the difference between them. thank you!! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! #subscribed
thank you so much!!! I am thinking about taking classes from you tube instead of school this is so easy to understand. Thank you again!!!!! you did an excellent job!
The distinction between qualitative and quantitative is related to problem solving: qualitative is what we want, or in other words, what problem we want to solve; whereases quantitative is what is the current state, where we objectively are instead of the destination, what is objectively the truth. Am i right?
We have to be cautious about using the word "prove" when conducting research. In scientific inquiry, especially when using statistics, there is probability or a likelihood of occurrence. With any finding, there is a margin of error that is part of the process. When my students present their dissertations, they do not say they "proved" something. They simply report the findings, draw conclusions, discuss limitations and make recommendations for further study.
Thank you so much for this video. I have to write a discussion board post on both qualitative research and quantitative research, and I have been so confused. Your video helped break it down middle school style lol for people like me!
My science teacher made me do this for yr 7 homework. I got b- because she said that I ‘didn’t do enough’ research but I did a whole page. I realised that all my planning was useless as it wasn’t organised. Thanks for the example 🙏
Great video... very informative..can you please make a video how do we analyse something. Does this vary from person to person or we all follow some common pattern. What are the methods of analysis?
I like how he in the beginning talks about qualitative research using surveys (which is ofc true) but then showing a scale survey, which will give you quantitative data
