Now we know where all of the spare parts went to!😊 seriously now one can never have enough spare equipment on hand, makes life easier for emergency repairs.
Hey Bryan, I am looking to buy a UHF 110w quantar; I have found some on eBay and some quantars are cheap and some are expensive. Do you think you could possibly help me find what I need?
Hey Brian, we are having a problem with radio to radio communication (no audio passing through) on non priority channels. Just looking for an expert to talk through the options. thanks
While the Quantar is quite the workhorse, I cannot get over the fact that linking them over a LAN, WAN or VPN utterly sucks. Without a v.24 card it is impossible to get two Quantars to communicate properly. Linking two OTA with remotes doesn't work, causes double vocoding and messes up radio ids. The XPR8300/XPR8400 while doesn't do P25 Phase I or Phase II has much easier and affordable networking. I can link 16 over IP Site Connect with a simple link establishment key and a master site. Many more with Linked Capacity Plus.
Just get a cisco 1841 and a sync serial card and use stun. You can get the $30 v.24 one chip level converter in place of the v.24 daughter card. It comes down to how you want to do digital.
