What joy. Another evening with the K family and friends.

In English pubs, ale is ordered by pints and quarts.. So in old England , when customers got unruly, the bartender would yell at them 'Mind your pints and quarts, and settle down.' It's where we get the phrase 'mind your P's and Q's'

Sure wish I could figure out how to add a picture to this! I went to The American School with Jorma in Manila MANY years ago! (Late 1950s.) We knew him as Jerry! I get the feeling that I may have already mentioned this!! SIGH

I'm looking forward to the show later this evening! I feel extremely fortunate and lucky to watch you perform live on an almost weekly basis! Yikes, why did you feel the need to apologize last week for playing " Water Song " since it was played not very long ago? I was sure glad to hear it, great tune, never fails to impress! I would rather hear your best and therefore most well known songs over and over! No need to try not to replay a song performed somewhat recently. Thank you, Vanessa, Izze, Andie, John, Marty, Justin, Jack and everyone making my Saturday nights something to look forward to ( especially more so during this boring era of Covid )! I've been a die-hard fan for almost 50 years and Jorma, you are one of my heroes!

Hi wonder-filling people at the FPR! Just wanted to take a minute b4 the wonderous chat 2nite to thank you, John and Jorma (+ everyone), for "The River Flows." What a gift! By giving us the chance to hear you two play together for an extended period, you have made the world a better place for everyone, and especially me. Someday in my wildest dreams I'll show up for songwriting class @ FPR and that, yes that, will make you ALL shiver in your shoes!

Jorma, Do you remember you and Jack playing the Lonestar Cafe, NYC in the 80’s. Very memorable shows for me and friends.

Vanessa - An old British sailor (I’m a retired U.S. sailor myself) once told me that expression referred to pints and quarts of beer. In different seaports, sailors would drink on a tab until pay day. And as they ran up their bill, the bartenders would remind them to mind their p’s and q’s and be mindful of how much money they were spending on the cuff.

When is the drawing going to be for the free couples weekend at FPR?

a quick google came up with the idea that type setters needed to mind their p's and q's because they looked very similar when putting together articles to print. The type block for a p would look like a q (and vice versa) because they printed backwards, so you needed to remember that. In other words, pay attention to the details!

Can't say thank you enough times to convey my gratitude for these shows. First time I saw Jorma was with the Airplane at the Fillmore East in NYC - probably late 68 or 69, but can't be sure because there were a lot of musically enhancing drugs available back then. :-) And at the risk of sounding ungrateful, I'm hoping a song request isn't out of place here. Maybe a Good Shepherd duet w/Jorma and John H? Or Rock Me Baby? Thanks again.
