wow shame to those 9 people who thumb down this esp, hate or what ever reason made you thumb down this esp is not cool. Jeffery I think it is sweet that you did this for your grandma's memory, sounds like she raise a great grandson.. I am going say this is by far my fav esp of Quaratine cooking with Paula. Her calling him was a very cool thing to see. The cake looked amazing and lol we all love us some cake batter.

I just love banana cake. Especially when it's made with different ingredients that make it less common than the norm. Raisins and nuts, Mmmm. And coffee in the icing...who would have thunk it? Great recipe, Jeffrey! This one is going in my recipe file under favorites! Have a great day, everyone!

And also why I think he said to separate the eggs,and beat the whites stiff,and fold them in,that helps with the denseness of the cake,cause that way the cake batter is lighter.

So tempted to make a “fruitcake” that my grandmother and her sister-in-law,, Josephine, made up when they were 30 yrs old. Granted they were born in 1883! They didn’t like the gellied fruits in a regular fruitcake. My Mama Flynn called them boogers!

Love those blue glasses Paula, Like your blue eyes. Paula be careful with that Kitchenaid mixer there. I see at 25:16 where you tilted the head back, just below that there is a hole there. There should be a pin in that hole that holds the whole thing together, the head to the base. If the pin is coming out the other side, tap it back in so you can see it on this side. Mine does this all the time and that thing could fall apart on you. That's why it wobbles like that when you run it on higher speeds. I don't want to see you get hurt dear. Take care.

Paula I am addicted to your videos! They are what the dr ordered..but pleeeeease stop multi licking your finger or utensil and then putting it BACK in the food..it just turns my stomach to near vomit 🤢 I want to be able to EAT YOUR FOOD if we ever meet but now all these images won't get outta my head...I don't think you wanna eat anyone else's slobber so please don't teach people to be unclean in the kitchen. My Gma taught us to have a tasting saucer and spoon and she would take the utensil and drop a little bit from the air there onto dish and use that spoon to taste. She would never use her fingers or lick the main spoon.

I have got to make this. I'm so glad it doesn't have any chocolate in it. Seems like everybody has to have chocolate and I don't really like it. I'm with you Paula..I love nuts too. Put more on top..toasted pecans
