Certainly this song was very popular in all the political meetings after MGR came out of DMK (I think around 1972). You could hear this in all the "patti" and "thotti" meetings as it had the primary theme "Kalathai vendravan Nee".

An epic song, especially the last bits where both the legends notched their impression with fast sangadhis or akarams. Both Varsha & Jaya Bhargavi carried the song very well from beginning to end, including the last bits. Kudos to both.

What a song! This was and has always remained my most favourite song from Adimai pen (notwithstanding the fresh and breath taking voice of SPB in aayiram nilave vaa). Your introduction was as classy as the song itself. What a crescendo for this number. The genius of KVM was there all over to feel. Thank you subhashreeji. The singers -Varsha and nayanthara i - recreated the majic of susheela mam and janaki mam. It is refreshing that shooting for the episode has come outdoor - in sync with relaxation
