Nice one Yianni, whoever gets the opportunity of renting the property via the council are going to have a brand new property to make their own. You are the perfect landlord as you are in it for the long term, so they can make it a home and know that as long as they look after it and the rent is paid they are there for as long as they want. There is nothing worse than finding a place and 18 months down the line the landlord wants to sell. If you know you can be there for years then you’ll look after it a lot better than if it’s a stop gap. More landlords should rent via the council, it keeps the rental prices affordable.
