Super że nie zapomniałeś o V8 w automacie. Fajnie by było zobaczyć Quattro E-Tron na rolkach i czy soft od trakcji jest równie dobrze napisany jak w Tesli
I agree! In my opinion, the best 4wd system ever made for a car (for use in daily basis) is the Quadra drive system that can be found in Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999-2004.
@@samin2173 I trust Qd1 a bit more. The Qd 2 uses electronic lsd and takes help of the antispin system (brakes). I don´t want my car to brake and lose power in a tricky situation. The Varilok axles that comes with Qd1 is bulletproff. The LSD in them is claimed to "lock" up to 98%. I never had problem with this sytem..
Which one is on the 2001 Audi b5 s4 ? Is it the open on the front, open on the back, with middle 50/50 torque split ? Believe the 1998 one in the video ?
torsen.com/how-it-works/ These are the planet pinions in the differential that change positions ; crossed axis helical gears on type A, parallel axis helical gears on type B and modified parallel axis gears in a planetary configuration (more compact) in type C
I dont know which center differential has my fathers A5 2009 with 0B5 stronic gearbox but there is some strange behave at low speed full left or right steering turns. Car hardly moves, you have to press accelerator pedal hard.
A question about Haldex quattro, why Gen III Haldex was not appeared in quattro? E-tron's quattro has 2 version, one is that rear axle only has 1 electric motor, another is the one that rear axle has 2 electric motor used on Audi RS e-tron GT.
How can the r8 have a haldex system when haldex can only sent 50% to the rear and only applies to transversely mounted engines? Its more like a quattto ultra, similar to an x drive
Haldex is a clutch-pack. Engine is in the back of the car (behind the driver), car is rwd based. Driveshaft goes from the engine to front differential. Haldex connects the driveshaft with front diff.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers i wasnt questioning about the set up, rather the unit used. Haldex supposedly can only sent 50% to the opposite differencial, and the engine has to have a particular set up. Anyways
Hello! Could you please help me identify the type of center differential on my Audi A4 B8.5, 2013, quattro, manual gearbox 0b2? Is it Torsen type C or crown gear differential?
Chinese Audi users really hates quattro ultra because it has lost the factor of similar to RWD, Torsen CSM has the spilt of 40 to front and 60 to rear.
Actually there is comprehensive evidence both from rallying and track that the Quattro system has been supreme compared to anything else. It was great and special back at the days, nowadays the competition is much more harder. But Quattro defined the 4wd systems for normal cars and proved it's worth and functionaliy in a way that is undeniable. In my mind that is the Quattro legacy.
@@samin2173 Soon there will be another video about Quattro systems in rally cars. And when it comes to rallying - people tend to forget that in rallies Audi was winning only with RWD cars. And that wasn't easy, in 1983 they even lost whole championship with RWD Lancia. Audi has popularized awd systems for normal cars but definitely not defined cause there were more advanced awd systems before 1980.
@@samin2173 At present, I think that the development of AWD systems using LSD and electronic differentials(like Landrover or BMW X-Drive) is better than mechanical 4WD mechanisms such as Quattro and Subaru's AWD.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers That's right, but it's a shame that Audi sometimes looks worse than BMW or Land Rover, perhaps because Audi can't abandon the feature of a mechanical AWD
