He never said that. Good ole Brian says it now that Freddie's dead. Early after Freddies death Brian used to say They got a piano player for touring so Freddie could run around more on their bigger and bigger stages and only played piano on half his songs. Now it's, Freddie had no confidence in his playing. Convenient for Brian. In fact many of Brian's riffs were written for him by Freddie on piano.
@@amylouise9853 Queen song are very hard to play on piano.. But what he is doing in the intro... There is no difficulty.. What is good it's that looks hard but it's not..
Im 56 now but i remember as a 13 yr old putting A night at the Opera on the turn table in my bedroom . this track always sent shivers down my back. the whole album is a master piece
as someone that plays guitar, i could tell right away that the piano intro was just a series of arpeggios played REALLY fast, so what i did was i learned it, held the sustain pedal, and all the people at my church, who'd never seen me play piano before, thought i was a prodigy. Freddie is a genius.
nice advice haha, well they are pretty hard because of the speed and the music is beautiful, so it is likely a prodigy's work, I've just learnt it today so I will play it in a church or something haha
I have a neighbor called Lisa, who didn't know about the song. So it was her birthday and I sang her this, but instead of "death of two leeegs" I sang "Dear Lisaaaa, you're tearin me apaaart!" She liked it I think.
Freddie is glowing here in-front of the piano under that lighting. What an alluring creature. A massive talent. Loved and treasured by millions around the glob.
Love Freddie's piano intro so much. Love the whole song. Again, Freddie was 100% in it. Knowing the background behind it, I'd say: "Go Queen!!". They made the chart and getting very popular but they were broke. As Roger goes: "Millions of sharks out there."
Don't make Freddie Mercury angry or he'll write a vicious song to get back to you. Actually abuse the shit out of you.👿👿 Then, the whole world'd be on his side :D Bravo!!!! Freddie 👍
As in "Bohemian Rhapsody", most of the guitar parts in the song were initially played by Mercury, to help the rest of the group understand the structure and style of the song.
Actually, I think this is the last concert from the Crazy Tour (promoting CLTCL single), which was the best period for his throat: singing with lots of strength and shining in those very high notes (the highest in his career).
What a smashing, heart-stopping intro! Freddie'd always down played his talent; he never thought he's a very good piano player. Liar! Freddie. I'm wild about the way you play it ✌️ And I adore how Freddie sometimes playing standing up 👌🏾
Freddie could have been famous just playing piano. But he had his angelic voice on top this. What a talent 😍 I wish I was born during this period when everyone seemed understand this type of quality music!
Sadly most people back then didn’t appreciate music in its entirety either, thus bands like Van Halen and Kiss sadly grew in popularity, and all these lesser known (but best) songs were given no attention
I never lose the "aww" factor with Freddie. Very underrated song. Freddie was an incredible pianist. The hurt over the production company stealing their money could was raw to the bone. I believe the song cost them dearly but was well worth it to Freddie.
just unbelieveable. Can't imagine how hard this would be for any other band to perform live. I don't think anyone else could possibly duplicate that. They were the greatest.
Love the extra long piano intro. Bravo!!! Freddie looked sensational 😻😻here. I hit replay half dozen times ❤️ I'm sick. Help! Norman Sheffield, one of the brother who own the Trident Recording Studios issued a statement (found on Google) after Freddie die; he said that he was sadder than anyone else when he heard the news as he truly appreciated his genius.. he also stated that he made peace at the end with Queen. Hope it's true. I beg he regretted his wrong-doing for the rest of his life.
This man was a freakin genius on a piano, I've never ever seen any artist or anyone in general play so wildly yet so perfectly. Dude didn't even missed or misplayed a single key at that rate of speed! Passion can do wonders.. 💜✨
Beautifully dramatic, long, extra long piano intro takes you to a smashing song! Mercury was sensational. Don't muck around with Queen. Or they'll write a song to get back to you. Pure genius!
Literally the most astonishing, astounding, spell-binding, breathtaking, stunning performance of one of my favourite Mercury songs ever. So, so amazing, thank you for this video.

Freddie ❤️ mi amor platónico. beutiful man. Terrible voz
Wow.... I love to see him play the piano like that !! Death on two legs is definitely a great song. The piano introduction is really a little masterpiece... Freddie was inspired! Then follow..., the Brian’s guitar... so strong and totally and beautifully rock... and then, the lyrics..., full of anger. Freddie was furious and put all his fury in this lyric...!!! I think it’s so good for inner sanity to let get out of all this strong feeling.!!! I can imagine the Freddie’s outrage.... at the point to written those lyrics, in black and white... in a really amazing melody!
One of the first concert operatic Rock & Roll groups ever assembled there are graciously the best that ever played in so be enshrined in the rafters of the Gods of rock and roll
i hope they include this song in the movie, its such a incredible song with a very good story behind, i going to be so disapointed if they do not included
@@fotolare Yo pense lo mismo, pero el guion de la pelicula no hace lugar a este tema ya que "aparentemente" en la pelicula, el primer manager que ellos tienen es John Reid y anteriormente no habian tenido manager alguno.
This was a diss against Freddie’s old manager who gave him like no money and kept it all to himself after roger saw him buy 2 cars with Freddie’s money they dissed him HARD
