im american, born and raised my whole life in the south united states. i didnt know much about her majesty but what i did know what all i needed to know that told me i would give anything to have her back with the world again. everytime i saw her on tv or the internet i felt a peace about my surroundings. amazing how 1 person can have an impact around the planet even if all a person knows about her majesty is that she exists :)

My first thoughts traveled back to November 22, 1963 and the arrival of JFK's body from Dallas. The difference is the Queen's arrival was so dignified and reverent; Kennedy's was grotesque and awkward. His casket was jostled about clumsily and nearly fell. Of course, the circumstances were vastly different. Our nation was reeling, trying to absorb the shock of an assassination that seemed unbelievable, and thus no plans had been discussed. Her Majesty's UK journey was such a lovely outpouring of love and gratitude, and I loved that her coffin was applauded as it passed. May Her Majesty be happily in heaven, surrounded by Corgis.

They had all sirens blasting there and not once did we need any of that up here in Edinburgh. It was all quiet for her majesty and no carry on with the blues n two’s.

This is why we are the best in the world at pomp and ceremony nobody does it better makes you proud to be British.
