PS Newey I am surprised that you didn't catch that the video also called the tiara Diana wore, that Kate now wears, the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara despite it actually being Queen Mary's Lover's Knot. Queen Mary loved her grandmother's tiara, which was the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara and Mary wanted it but it was passed to her aunt and it was a piece I guess Mary couldn't talk into her collection so she had her own Lover's Knot Tiara fashioned after it

They are kept in Royal Vault in the Tower of London, guarded by a combination of British Army soldiers and the Yeoman of the Guard. This is where the Crown Jewels are also kept and is practically impenetrable. Although there have been a (very) few occasions over its 950-year history where someone has got into one of the outer gates, no one has ever got as far as the vaults. The guns the soldiers carry are not for decoration, they are loaded with live bullets.

indeed we know there are more...which probably wont be seen in the Queens lifetime... One if not two more Tiaras and other jewels were "returned" possibly "bought back" by HM The Queen from the Children of Princess Margaret who arranged a sale of the Jewels and other items from the estate of their mother Princess Margaret. Jewels that were given to Princess Margret by both her Parents, Queen Elizabeth and King George the VI and her Grandmother Queen Mary. The Persian Turquoise Tiara is one such piece. Part of a Parure of necklace, earing and brooch. It was made around 1900 by Garrard, and was given as a wedding gift from King George the V & Queen Mary to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, later The Queen Mother in 1923. Then as Queen Elizabeth she eventually gave the parure to her younger daughter, Princess Margaret as a 21st birthday present. This parure was not included in the Sale of Jewels by the children, so one can assume it was returned to the Royal Collection. Time will tell.

@@hotoneinspai some of the tiaras that went to the Snowdons were part of the Royal collection and the QM didn't hand them over the moment her daughter became queen , as should have been done. So H.M. stepped in and yook back what were the RC (palm tiara was one), may have bargained for others and left the Snowdond with hose she felt didn't need adding. Turquoise, we rarely see H.M. wearing it so it bacame the snowdons, unless she purchased it again at auction to help them out. Great comment

Wenche.... I loved Catherine in the Lotus too. Its a great "starter" Tiara. And, The Cartier Halo was the perfect Tiara choice for her wedding...just so beautiful, understated yet so densely packed with perfect diamonds, the beauty is in the detail.... Like Catherine herself.

It's kind of fitting that Catherine where's the Lover's knot tiara because it's a tiara that Queen Mary of Teck had commissioned as a replica of the Cambridge tiara. I believe it was Queen Mary of Teck's Aunt who was the Duchess of Cambridge at the time and then the tiara of Cambridge was eventually sold to another European Royal by a family member of the then Duchess of Cambridge.
