This maestro, Marc Martel, must be one of the greatest musical discoveries of the last 20 years...His voice is beyond unbelievable, it's just amazing how he can perfectly emulate the voices, phrasing and power of Mercury...
and he's right on time everytime,just like F, spot on! While lambert alwas has this strange "lag". Like his microseconds to late everyfucking time. Really annoying.
May as already said it will never happen because his voice is to much like freddie's. reading into the lines of what was said, sounds like it could lead to maybe a break down on stage. "maybe a tear or 2 "
That's what I thought... We must spread campaigns through social networks and demand that Marc be part of the official band and replace Adam. And that Roger and Taylor can know what the fans want. What is your opinion? We do? Please!! They could even pull out a new album with new tracks. Would be beautiful! No one would replace Freddie because he's unique, but Marc would be an option to revive Queen. I will cry T_T And it would be a "miracle" to make a performance and appear John Deacon XD. I would die happy.
Marc is a self-sufficient performer, a songwriter etc. While just like you and many-many people who love Freddie, I crave to see that happen. But I think Marc deserves a chance of his own. For a talented guy like him it would be unfair to mimic Freddie for his entire career, and perhaps he should pursue his own goals and become a prominent Marc Martel, not just another Freddie's impostor, don't you think?
I love this guy! No one can ever replace Freddie, but this guys got skills! I would so pay to see him perform with queen! It's uncanny how much he sounds like Mercury!
For those of us who prefer Marc, he hits enough of the high notes enough of the time, and his timbre gives us chills because not only is it naturally close to Freddie, but even in his own music (where he sounds less like Freddie), I still find his tone beautiful and pure. Do check out the Range Place -- they not only document the highest and lowest notes for singers, they give you the song/performance details so you can verify for yourself if in doubt.
The first time I heard Marc, it was in his band Downhere and a song called Rediscover You there was a post before mine that said that this is how he sings and it is true. I got chills listening to his songs from Downhere where he shares singing duty with Jason Germain. This was before his audition for Queen Extravaganza. Marc is an awesome singer with or without Queen and no matter who he sings with, I am a fan. God Bless You Marc.

I'd rather see this band than Queen themselves unless Marc ends up singing for them. All I do is shake my head in amazement at every video I watch of him sing.
This is the closest thing to Queen, ever. If this guy were to take the helm, there would be a Queen 2.0. All jokes aside, Freddie Mercury was much more masculine than Lambert. What I think everyone that is actually talking about is the masculine difference between Marc and Adam. Vocally they are both excellent. Marc simply completes Queen, vocally and persona. There's something just slightly off with Adam.
Huge fan of Adam Lambert ... separately ....but Marc Martel is the best with Queen! He has the right feel, great presence and a kind of rock n roll sincerity.

Just so everyone knows... Marc Martel was handpicked back in 2012 by Roger Taylor to tour with him on the Queen Extravaganza tour and has been touring with the Queen Extravaganza tour since then. They will touring the UK in 2016 so if you are in the UK and want to see them check for show dates and locations :D I love Adam Lambert as well as Marc Martel... I even love Cody Belew who reminds me of Freddie as well... they are all amazing and all have their own unique Freddiesque sound and ways. I am just happy that we still able to hear live renditions of that amazing music and that incredible voice .... Marc is pretty spot on and I am just blown away by him but I love them all

Since Marc has done 76 QE shows (91 after the UK tour this fall), I think he can definitely handle an entire concert of Queen songs at least as well as Adam. Marc does share vocal duties with Jennifer but sings the majority of songs. When Adam did full concerts with Queen, he shared vocal duties with Brian & Roger and did not sing for the entire concert. I don't mind if people comment on my vids that they prefer Adam, but comparisons to Marc should at least be fair and accurate. :-)
Check out the Range Place website. Adam's highest documented sung note is only two semitones above Marc's highest (and they're not done documenting Marc yet). Freddie's highest is almost a full octave above Adam! Adam tends to hit the highest notes with more ease than Marc but the difference is hardly a deal-breaker. Furthermore, Adam sings WATC like a power ballad; Marc sings it like a rock anthem. They both sing it well technically but stylistically, it's supposed to be a rock anthem.
I wish Marc all the best. I'm really hoping that Brian and Roger will record a new album with one of them. (is hoping for John to come along is too much?). Anyway, it's awesome to see that Queen, 22 years after Freddie's death, is literally - ALIVE AND KICKING.
@@iAmMadeOfSoup You should hear Marc's album, and the song High Hopes. He holds a line of notes for a full minute without a breath. And if you think it was faked on the album, you can watch him do it live in concert as well.
Which high note in WATC did Marc avoid? Sometimes Marc dodges high notes (esp. near the end of a long tour), but most of the time he sings them. Jennifer sang WWTLF when it was on QE's setlist. YT has lots of vids of Marc with TSMGO. Here's one of mine: watch?v=jyFYyVtYKqs Marc does struggle with the high note in this song, but actually one of the fun things for us die-hard QE-watchers is following Marc's improvement over time with this song!
If you're going to do a tribute band, I would appreciate similar attire and looks to give the full experience. IMO. Just makes it so much more realistic and fun to see live.
