Funny seeing Rufus Taylor drumming his dads song, as Roger sings it - so used to seeing Roger sing & drum it at the same time. (This track is/was the B-side to Bohemian Rhapsody) If anyone doesn’t know, Rufus was his Dads drum tech, left to become Taylor Hawkins drum tech and is now the drummer in The Darkness. However, that wasn’t the main connection for them performing. Roger adored Taylor calling him one of the most iconic drummers of all time. Note how Knackered Rufus looks having drummed that track, then remember his dad drums it and sings it - the only person who ever got close to doing the two together was Taylor. Fly high Taylor, you’ll never be forgotten.
Amazing version! Rufus is so power🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 he has been very influenced by Taylor! ROGER is still on fire! And my Compliments to Nate Mendel❤❤❤ he plays like John
Wow, I had not heard that version. Roger Taylor, what a stunning voice. Too old for kitchen duty, but always a fantastic musician and singer. Thanks so much.
@@merlinthomi They had 15 drummers available at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert. No reason for Roger to do both. And Rufus has played with both these bands several times.
Rufus wanted to play drums to his father performing this song for a long time and Taylor used to tease him about it, so they did it here to make it extra special
