A one hour collection, of Queen interviews. Mostly from the 70's n' 80's Part 2: • Queen // Interview Col... ___________________________________________________ / mediacollectionyt
Rebecca Wilson I like 95% of their music. Even Hot Space is ok but nothing like THE GAME. There are 3-4 songs on Hot Space I do like. If an album has at least four good songs that’s worth buying because it’s cheaper than buying the singles.
Freddie...simply gorgeous! Beautiful dark sparkling eyes, high cheekbones, aquiline nose, chiseled features...the overbite is also lovely, it confers a very individual touch. I remember being terribly disappointed when he had his beautiful hair cut short! Watching these interviews I am also impressed by his charm, wit and unpretentiousness. So intelligent and articulate!
Freddie and Queen were lightyears ahead. Even after some 50 years they never sound or look dated! Their music, intelligence and Freddie's dress sense are classic and timeless.
I saw them in LA at the Forum in 1967 and fell in love with them. Freddie's voice was like nothing I'd ever heard, it was beyond wonderful. When we lost him in 91 the brightest light in Rock went out. That we continue to celebrate this amazing band all these years later is a testament to their incredible talent. In my world it is one of the two greatest Rock bands on the planet. Both Queen and Pink Floyd were innovative and totally unique. Their sound is immediately identifiable and totally relevant today. It is forever.
@@amandab5941 Wow, how lucky you were. You will never forget it and keep it with your memory's forever. Hey happy New Year too you. Hope 2019 brings you all the happiness and love 5hat you deserve..........From Bethlehem Pa.
"We Are the Champions" has some of the strongest and most potent lyrics ever written by Freddie Mercury. It is the honest outcry of an artist who had been brutally criticized by the alleged music "experts" of the media, a member of a band who had fought hard battles with production companies, extortionist managers and inflexible record companies, to be able to express themselves musically how they themselves wanted to be - not just what other people in the music business expected them to be. From selling secondhand clothes from a London market stall to the greatest rock entertainer in the history of music, a member of a fantastically great music group, was by no means "A bed of roses", but he was also extremely grateful - grateful that his band family were still together and still great friends, and extremely grateful to their fans for making Queen's success and fame at all possible. He really honestly " Loved you (us) all" and we loved him/ them, and always will. At the end of the song he actually includes his and the band's fans in the group of "Champions" - in his mind, Freddie Mercury, Queen and all of his/ their fans and supporters are all champions. I think that was a lovely thing to say. 💓💓💓💓
Beautiful interview collection. I’m utterly obsessed with all things Queen! 👑❤️ but am I the only one who has a hard time watching these early interviews? I definitely enjoy them because it’s great seeing the origins of the band but it breaks my heart because I see the beautiful, almost childlike innocence of Freddie while also knowing the future that awaits him. 😔 I will try to focus instead on these amazing artists and the legendary music collection they left us. ❤️
OH my gosh, Marie! I was watching this, inadvertently closed it and so reopened and scrolled down. THIS was the first review I read and did not see the name. I was like, "Yes, I feel what you feel, I hear and get you." Looked at the name and it was YOU. Very funny and sweet that would happen after 'meeting" you yesterday. ANd yes, Freddie looks so handsome and comes across in such a charming and, as you say, innocent way: it does twist the heart.
Marie Grimes ya know, he was so childlike been and then 10 years later and being so wild I noticed that sparkle in his eyes didn’t exist anymore. He had been living the wildlife and decided to change lifestyles and be gay ( he was not born gay but rather he wanted to try that lifestyle and got into it & stayed there for the most part) we can definitely see if the change in Freddie Mercury’s on between 1975 and 1985. He looked tired & sometimes he looked so sad. I’m not so sure he was very happy at all with his life from 1989-90 on. He was goofing around making a miracle album but AIDS took a toll on him.
Queen were so unbelievably innovative, they literally invented the music video with their "Bohemian Rhapsody" film and were the forerunners of the "Rock Anthems", still played in sports arenas and music venues all around the world. Even if one preferred their earlier music, as I did, one had to admit that their rendition of " We Will Rock You" is so masterfully powerful and catching, that even critics of this difection start stamping their feet and clapping their hands in rhythm to the music. Regardless what they touched, it was magic. Their impact on the history of music cannot be underestimated and their musical works will be with humanity when all of us are with Freddie Mercury in musical heaven. Alongside such masters as Beethoven, Bach, Verdi and Chopin, Queen will be regarded by posterity as the most influential representatives of the music of the later 20th century and the history of music on the whole. 😍
He makes a beautiful girl in I want break free 😂😂. I had a friend say "look at those legs!" And I busted out laughing and then he realized it was Roger and he about died 😂 so funny
I really enjoy watching this footage. Thank you. Freddie was in Australia, looking relax and, was taking his time to talk. The interviewer was Molly Meldrum; not a journalist but an Australian music heavy weight (a gay guy too). Molly showed genuine love and interested in Queen. He asked some good questions. I think Freddie felt his sincerity and gave answers in details; like: how he thought according to the song writing point of view; "Somebody to Love" was better in a way than "Bohemian Rhapsody". They also talked into details about "We are the champions". It was fascinating to hear what's on Freddie's mind. Also interesting was that Freddie looked so calm and comfortable. He gave all his answer carefully and seriously, never once trying to brush the interviewer or his questions away. Totally enjoyable.
Actually he did not have curly hair in school pictures. And if you look at the BH film, his hair is straight as the group is being formed. After the flat tire scene, his hair curls. Since Brian worked in the film, I think he is showing that Hus curls are not natural. Only my opinion.
Every Queen band member has spirituality in the instrument, voice and song ❤️ writing sound. I keep hearing Mr. Bad Guy was a flop. Maybe so only because it didn't include the whole group however, I listen to it and it sounds great. Mercury's voice is out of this world. The album should have been called "Mr. Bad Ass Guy". Something to that sense. I try not to feed too much into some songs, Freddie Mercury has said " don't take it too seriously". In the single track Mr. Mercury, No he did not hurt people or mess lives up. I feel so bad for him and his fellow band members for what happened. He is a beautiful place ❤️ in heart, mind and in HEAVEN!!! From: Stamford, CT 06901. Note: I and my identical sister was able to talk to my cousin in Italy. Yea. Also, when I seen Queen in New Haven, I can't believe I waited for the Robot from the News of the World Tour to show up high over us from behind or the corner of the band stage. How mind blowing Queen is. The biggest quality is, they kept kicking out music. They didn't quit 😑

How cute is the Deacury interview at 2:38 ?! Intelligent answers from Freddie, but his body language is screaming please PLEASE leave me alone. I think the cameraman must have turned to stone at 3:09 quick flash of Freddie's gorgeous eyes and instant retreat/zoom out. Two very uncomfortable gorgeous boys 💖😔
Golly, Freddie was so sweet & cute then. He was skinny, but such a talent. It wasn’t just Freddie, tho. Queen was a MONSTER POWER HOUSE BAND & think think they were good w/their 1st album, but not SUPERSTAR GOOD. Queen 2 was a lot better! By Sheer Heart Attack they were SUPERSTAR status. With a group or individual gets into the top 10 they are super!! Night at the opera was just a genius by all of them!! The timing was perfect because they were no longer part of Trident and they were with John Reid. Sure, Queen had to pay $100,000 to Trident for breaking the contract in addition to Trident getting one percent off of the sales of each of the next 6 albums. But that’s NOTHING In comparison to what Queen earner off of “Night at the opera.” The bad thing was that that album was expensive to make & The band was already in debt, so they did earn a lot of money from that album but if they wouldn’t of been so far in debt it would’ve made a lot more. It got better for them mother time they released “ somebody to love” & “ Day at the races”. Queen split from Trident at the perfect time because just think of the fortune trot it would’ve made off of night at the opera? Freddie Mercury told Brian after one of the Tridence managers bought a brand new Rolls-Royce that there was no way that he could just do anymore music for them because if they were struggling to live and survive.
FREDDIE AND HIS TURTLE BROWN EYES AWWWW AT 2:30 TO 3:55 FREDDIE LOOKS TIRED 😔 AT1:33 TO 1:35 TAKE THAT BOW BABY YOU DESERVE IT AT 1:36 TO 1:48 WOW BRIAN IS TURNING ME ON CUTIE PIE👑😍✊🏾
+Media Collection I've spent the past 4 weekends trying to track down this interview with Freddie and Ian (Molly) Meldrum 5:07 - 24:37. If you're going to make money off someone else's work, the least you could do is to properly attributed him in the title or the description.
Legendas indisponíveis!! Poxa vida!😧😢 Queen tem fãs em todo mundo.. muito triste por não ter tradução! Pelo amor a uma fã se alguém tiver esse video com legenda (tradução) por favor ajude! 😣
S Y if you pay attention from 04:30 ish you’ll hear Freddie explains that fans were so crazy about them outside of the hotel, they had to have bodyguards... that’s why.
QUEEN' prime was '73-'78. Just an INCREDIBLE LIVE & studio band. THE BEST EVAH! But staring in '79, they started leaning much more toward pop rock. They were still great from that point on, but could NEVER come close to matching their '70's MAGIC!
Great interview antology but the reelintheyears.com watermark is a giant PINTA. Seriously couldn't it have been across the bottom of the screen insead of across the middle and the artist being interviewed. It's acutally blatantly rude to the artist.
Qu'ils sont chiants ces journalistes et ces paparazzis qui leur foutent la paix un peu s'est comme ça que ça fait boule de neige avec des ragots mensongères qu'avec un doigt Ils en font un bras, j'aurais répondu aucun commentaire.
