Hatice forgot what Mahidevran did and she forgot how Hurrem saved her son and was never an enemy to her... All she cared for was Ibrahim and she absolutely ignored that Ibrahim cheated on her and that he abused Hurrem since day one and she had to protect herself.
@@lovelydove8770 | i don’t think she was bipolar [bipolar disorder is quite complex, we can’t just say it like that, y’know?] but she definitely was mentally ill, as portrayed in the series. anxiety, maybe, and more because she’s portrayed as so paranoid all the time and just really not in the right headspace. even though she did so much evil to hurrem, i don’t hate her, i really don’t. i just pity her character in the series, from beginning to end.
@@syedriyan7009 I think it's not bipolar it's only sadness or broken hearted because from the start she's in LOVE with Ibrahim but her mother chose to marry a'other man for her. You must know that people in love can be broken if it's not reciprocated. Don't too judge exaggeratedly
She helped her father too, she was a daddy's girl.. she was main power of Sultan Suleiman in Europe because of her mother's influence .. Mirimah was one of the most powerful women that ever existed, more than queens and kings, she was so rich she built ship for her Sultan Suleiman's navy
I do not understand Vidalde. Time and time again Hurrim demonstrated how much she loved and cherished Suliman. That is the kind of love I want my children to have in their lives. Hurrim also gave her 5 grandchildren who Vidalde obviously adored. Many times Mahi showed herself to be a very self centered whiny woman. I really don’t understand what Vidaldes problem was with Hurrim.
They were jealous and envious of Hurrem from the very start, a former concubine & slave turned to Hatun then a SULTANA. Hurrem was not ambitious to be a Valide. All she wants is the constant attention of Suleiman and her children.
The Valide Sultana had seen with her own eyes how power corrupts a person. The best way to get power is to get gradually more responsabilities and powers. One has to learn how to cope with the results. Hürrem swooshed up the power ladder as if it had only five steps and not 500. Indeed, Hürrem would talk too rash, too unpolite, too straight, at the beginning. She made enemies because she didn't understand how the power base works. It was only later on that Hürrem managed to play the game and change her demeanor. But by that time she had shown to be a dramatical, egocentric, barbaric girl (according to the Valide). It was only at this moment in the series that the Valide Sultana understood why Hürrem became so important so quickly: because she does things from the heart for the wellbeing of others, and she uses her intellect to get there. As of Mahidevran, she does things from her little brain only for her own wellbeing. The Valide understands here that Mahidevran only bows to her when she has to, but she will put a knife in Valide's back once she deems it necessary. As of Hürrem; she will do anything for the wellbeing of the Sultan, which is the same goal of Valide Sultan, so she understands that even though they differ in many aspects, Hürrem is the best ally.
This really highlights a weakness of Mahidevran's that we see throughout the series---being too rash with her actions. With the sultan on his possible deathbed, it makes sense to do all she can to secure her son's power and protection. Still, there are ways to limit the threat of Hurrem's children without ordering their deaths when everything is still so unclear. After all, if the sultan woke up to all his other children (and possibly Hurrem) dead then how would Mahidevran explain it? How would she be able to protect herself or Mustafa from that rage? There's a reason why these plans never quite work against Ayse Hafsa or Hurrem's more careful, discreet planning.
However, I think that later seasons kinda rectified this weakness. The intrigue she stirred to get rid of Helena in E76 would've succeeded if it weren't for Diana and I mean, Mehmet's killing plan was perfect *and* successful. Now, whether she should've killed him or not is up for debate but the way she did it was both disgusting and suprisingly cunningly smart for her.
@@plams4488 I wonder if it had anything to do with the different environment she was in? It shows that she can be very decisive when her emotions don't overwhelm her, which, given how high emotion the harem was almost every other day, I can see why it'd have a negative impact on her.
Tess McNeice she was very dependent on Valide & Ibrahim pasha previously , in the later stages she was good in making decisive decisions like he told Mustafa not to go to the Persian war.
@@TsarOfRuss Did she really? Someone tried to poison your son and unborn grandson, said she will evict you from your home and praying that your son die from illness and you spent the rest of your life protecting them!!! Bad bad script.
They only allied with her now because they were threatened. I don't think Valide ever even loved Mahidevran, it was more about having an indebted pawn and persevering the dynasty image.
@@v1olante In real life, ayse hafsa was neutral, she liked both mahidevran and hurrem equally.. also mahidevran was exiled when she slapped hurrem. In series, ayse hafsa in the end accepted hurrem but it was too late to see them two on same side because she passed away..
I personally think Ayşe Hafsa Sultan is the nicest Valide Sultan I've seen in both series so far. And too bad Hurrem Sultan didn't get to experience becoming Valide Sultan herself.
@@multipurpose6984 Sultan Suleiman, Hatice Sultan, and Fatma Sultan's full mother was Hafsa Sultan, a previously former Christian concubine of Sultan Selim. She was the Valide Sultan during Sultan Suleiman's reign. Meanwhile, the mother of Sah Sultan and Beyhan Sultan was Ayse Hatun, the daughter of Crimean Khan, Menli Giray. Ayse Hatun and Hafsa Sultan were two different women.
I really don't understand her obsession with Hurrem. Gulsah asked her what would Valide, just Valide, no one else, think about that matter. And she, as always, included Hurrem into the convo 😂
@@sixpathguide5539 not in series, in real life she was declared. Also mihrimah shared power when Murad ascended, she was valide sultan under Selim and nurbanu bowed always to her.
Even after all this they forgave Mahidevran 🙄and made hurrem their only enemy 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Hatice has the will to side with Nigar Kalfa who cheated on her with her husband 🙄🙄and made hurrem her enemy
So desperate.. in real life she just suicided lol, she had no power to oppose hurrem in any way.. rumors even say that hurrem forbade hatice from visiting topkapi palace
@@kayodewa hurrem was the haseki sultana and ruled harem so the strongest sultana in the palace. In real life, Suleiman sisters actually liked her and didn't oppose her , they didn't have the power to do it anyway, but hatice was the only one who complained about hurrem when Ibrahim died but that's it. They never fought or did anything to each other.
@@DimSK. We are saying the same thing if you understand what I wrote. I said it was not necessary for Hurrem to forbid Hatice to come to Topkapi palace because dynastic rules already forbade her so she will not try to enter any harem even her mother's one. Why will Hatice complain about Ibrahim's execution? Historically, they never met, and to whom will she complain to? But I stand to be corrected if there is proof.
@@kayodewa yeah well these theories about Ibrahim and hatice started after 2000s , im talking If they were married. And yes I just wanted to note it for those who think series are real :d
Its all power play.. Hurram learned to play it from them. But played it better than than them. ❤.( as they all played games to remove her from the palace)
If Suleyman had died in this episodes , then Mahidevran wouldve become the next Valide sultan surely and it doesnt matter if the previous one was alive therefore the former valide lose her power in topkapi palace ( however she could hold the title "former valide sultan" ) but she have to be exiled to the old palace to retire although she could get the same amount of stipend that she earned before but Mahidevran wouldve replaced her position in Topkapi and couldve ruled the harem and may have become an adviser to her sultan son.
It doesn't matter, mahidevran can become valide sultan if Suleiman dies. Ayse hafsa would be exiled to old palace and lose all her power and influence. That's how it goes. Theoretically, hurrem sultan became the valide sultan after ayse hafsa but she died few years before Suleiman so practically, mihrimah sultan became valide sultan.
hurrem gave hatice such a warning here. “He’s the pasha to Mahidevran and Mustafa”. And Hatice got mad about it!!!!!!!! Hurrem was totally truthful, completely respectful, and hatice got mad! GIRL!!! The dude was BAD NEWS!!!
wow If I see mehmed it is totaly different personality then had sehzade mustafa in his age. when mustafa came to the harem he was spoilt. he didn´t respect to eldest persons. for example to valide hafsa sultan he recomander to her bring him his father, to old persons behaved as a spoilt. mahidevran teched him that all world is only him and that he is another heir. even sulejman in some moment cannot understand mustafas behaved when he had order to ibrahim a his a slave. point is mustafa as a child was trully litelly spoilt. sehzade mehmed- trully honest sehzade. hurrem rise him well. always be here for his siblins and protected them. go to step to his eldest brother mustafa and never dispoined his father as a mustafa did. it is truth that when mehmed was as child so he also had in some moment his behaved, but this period is going through many children mustafa and mehmed. in some moment I don´t like mustafa, because different is betwen mahidevran and hurrem. while mahidevran many times tried to make mustafa put on throne. he also many times returned him against to his father and with ibrahhim playnng to put him on throne. mahidevran always saw that there will be day when he put on throne and became sultan. hurem not. hurrem didn´t let encroach theire children to the fight with mahidevran and valide. she told them they the should had respected mahidevran. she rise them so that they didn´t saw at each other enemies and be here for theyre self. she teched them how should respect dicision of his father... hurrem is better mother than mahidevran
I completely agree with you on this matter Despite my endless admiration for Hurrem Sultan , I must admit that she might not be a good person cause of the blood that stain her hands , but she was definitely a good mother and a strong one ! Mahidevran was one of the reasons of her son downfall....
Low class Mahidevran 👎👎👎 She deserves this kind of insult from everyone 👍👍👍 she proved that she had no quality to get Suleiman's love and alos others love or respect. So she suffered her whole life 👌👌👌 perfect result 😍😍😍
@@anikabushra26 does she deserve the shit life that suleiman fked it up for me? probraly not . i'll say more like suleiman deserves this reaction from her.
I hate it when mahi do anything people find wrong and when hurem did it people 😒 🙄 😑 say wow lioness wow cheap people showing 😒 that they judge a person only by beauty 🙄
I dont know for what she was rushing ...Mustafa was eldest and have people to support him so she cud have wait rather preparing to kill them...she again commited the same mistake she attempted earlier guess her mind stopped working just to take revenge from Hurrem n lost at the end.
In real hystory, IF valide Hafsa ever heard smth like THAT from Mahi, - that she intends to KILL valide`s grandchildren (!) and dismiss Hafsa (!), Mahi wouldn`t have gotten off that easy. - Valide would have told that to Suleiman, and HE would have ordered to execute Mahi for that, - without ANY trace of doubt. But real history was even clearer and fairer: Mahi was forever sent away from the palace RIGHT AFTER she tried to beat ut Hurrem, which was portrayed at the beginning of these series (with a comletely wrong ending).
The way that they blame everything on hurrem, even impossible things like the babies smallpox and Ibrahim and Nigar's affair.... I mean as the door goes on it just gets more and more preposterous 🙄😝🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ and I know that it is not historically accurate but it's fun to watch ❤❤❤
@@محمدأضحى Ayse and Hafsa are the same, and she was not a concubine, she was the daughter of the Khan (governor) of Crimea, if she had been a concubine she would never have married legitimately.
Mahidevran has no reason to be kind to the man who neglected her , gave up on her and the woman who took him away. It's important she had to focus on the future to get over the past. Somehow people here sympathize with hurrem in this scene. But she was genuinely never authentic n i could never pity her. She was always favored biasedly by Suleiman.
They did not protect Hurrem, they protected the blood of their dynasty who are the Sultans children, especially the male children who were in line to be the next Sultan.
For a woman her husband is everything, if he leaves her just because he fell in love with another and deprives his first love of all rights obviously he is creating a culprit. Suleman shouldn't have done that to Mahidevran. She was also a mother of his prince and only demanded freedom. In the end it was hurrem who took Mahidevran son, the only joy of her life. For her prince Mahidevran came to do all that she did and Suleman cold hearted killed his own son.
There is no proof that it was hurrem Anyway if mustafa became sultan than all hurrem sons would die which mother would want that Anyway in the harem only the strong survive mahidevarn waited for the sultan to die while hurrem would not even let her sons be sultan before sultans
It was fiction in this show that Hurrem contributed in any way with Mustafa's death. (IRL he managed it all on his own!) Mahidevran was never Suleiman's wife, she was his consort and concubine mother of his son. Since Suleiman had four concubine baby-mamas in Manisa, (Mahidevran was the third one) and when his oldest son, his youngest son, and a daughter all died shortly after he acceded to the throne, then Mahidevran rose in rank. Suleiman had already moved on from Mahidevran (and had another and younger son with someone else) while in Manisa. Since they lived by the tradition of one mother/one son he would not have slept with her after Mustafa was born.
How could any one blame her How could any one ask her to be sad for sulyman Thanks god she is just waiting for him to die not killed him He was her abuser She lost hope in him Her son was dying and he was not beside him I cant blame her
I think Mahidevran's action was justified. If the same thing was done by Hurrem the people in comments section would have justified her. Anyone knowing that if Mahidevran wouldn't have done so.. Her son would have been executed by his half brothers themselves.
Mahidevran is after vlaide sultan position nothing new, hurrem is here to protect her children. Difference between haseki hurrem sultan and a random slave viper like mahidevran hatun.
What respect was Huerrem given when she first arrived? Nothing but haterd and insults. Huerrem had every right to hate most of the royal family and yet in a crisis like this she's by far more understanding. She respected Valide Sultan and never gave up on their relationship to be improved. When they thought Sueliman drowned she stoop up and gave everyone hope that he's alive and they shouldn't give up while Mahidveran just cried. On the other hand Mahidveran was treated with respect and love from her mother_in_law and sister_in_law. They always had her back and stood up for her when she got herself in trouble and what do they get in return? Mahidveran betrays them all and plans to kill their grandsons/nephews and declares herself Valide Sultan when Sueliman wasn't even dead yet.
@@ankitabhattacharjee4538 no it wasn't. Şah Sultan put Hurrem in exact situation through deceit, hoping she'll crown Beyazid. But Hurrem was very clear. That so long as her husband is alive, even her own sons will have to walk over her dead body to get to the throne. As per the series (barring the first few episodes), Hurrem never wanted to be Valide as that would mean Suleiman's death. She never wished to outlive Suleiman.
The day mahidevran entered the palace she thought herself as queen Suleiman 's wife...She disrespected and ridiculed everyone's gulfem hatun, hurrem .However, hurrem lived her dream..She was poisonous snake..
Mahidevran was a liar..she use to shout and scream even hit people... Mercilessly To hurrem, her kalfa gulsah... Suleiman put her to place she didn't have power to confront or bully Suleiman..
The entire storyline is so trash lol but the actors, set, costumes, dialogues and historical conquests carry the show I mean how does mahidevran get away with it when all her plans were exposed to valide sultan herself , how can hafsa forgive this treachery and why does she still have hurrem as her enemy when she's ready to die for her son, gave 4 princes and 1 sultana to the dynasty and is still hated
