Yes! This version is fun but we miss the whole point of the original video and song. They decided that they would go into the studio and write a song together and record it. Watching them play around and try different things, and argue about the lyrics is much more satisfying.

Originally Roger wrote this song about Martin Luther King but while the band was working on it, Roger went away on holiday and when he returned the words had been changed somewhat by Freddie. I still think this song delivers a good message and I always enjoy listening to it. Often we hear, but we don't listen. Thank you for your reaction.

I love Queen yet I love Roger's solo work. My favorite album of his so far is Happiness? His lyrics have a lot more lyrical depth than Queen songs. That's not a criticism since Queen songs appeal to millions but you can interpret them in many different ways lyrically.

@@26shedan I believe this was intentional as Freddie in particular said that songs should be up to the interpretation of the listener and not swayed by the songwriter.

@@sherryheim5504 That was not on this song. Freddie did that on “It’s a Kind of Magic” They did this song all together while making a documentary also. John was the one on vacation during One Vision, he came in late.

You should check out be making of Radio Gaga. Rumor has it, that Freddie and Roger were drinking vodka and Freddie kept laughing and forgetting the words. Its worth a watch. Also for early Queen I suggest Liar or Death On Too Legs from the Rainbow 1974.
