Kev South: Agree, but I wouldn't care if she were moving around in public in a wheelchair, as long as it's not in widow's weeds like Queen Victoria and as long as she loves to talk to people and has reason to smile because she's enjoying herself. How could that smile and that yellow outfit not brighten up the day of everyone who sees her? Could everyone just make sure that she doesn't have to walk far, doesn't have to stand long, and isn't expected to show up at four different places in one day, like she was doing shortly after the death of Prince Philip? And could Palace spokespeople be less vague? I mean, "mobility issues" could mean she needs a walking stick or could mean she's incapable of standing on her own two feet without collapsing, so many people speculate the worst. Everyone has noticed she has lost weight. If that's because doctors advised her to, in order to reduce the strain on her knees and ankles, then say so. She's been asked to give up her daily martini. Why not tell the public why instead of giving out the least important information while leaving out the most important, the reason? (Why would anyone care if she has a martini or not as long as she is in good condition?) So happy to see that this woman, whom I've admired for 64 years or so, at first because my elder cousin did, is still so admirable.

The Princess Royal frequently accompanies her these last few months. I think that Charles, Anne and Edward, plus their respective spouses are all taking turns, with the addition of William and Catherine. She has her own little army of close family. I wouldnt mind betting that Anne has drawn up a rota to keep her safe. Watching her today she didnt look to need much help, but each day is different at her age. 👑🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧

He and his adorable wife Sophie have maintained an exceptionally busy register of duties over the past 18 years. The difference is, that Edwards been a Quiet Achiever, just gets on with the work + doesn't look for a grandstand. . Edward + Sophie's royal calendar of duty each year has often seen them do at least 700-800 events a year. The reason people are more aware of Edward + Sophie (+ Louise+James) is because since Harry left, Edwards picked up that slack on top of his usual work. We see him more now. He has always been happy to work without cameras following him 200% of the time. His working diary has always been documented + followed by press but not made a fuss of. He is very much like his dad Philip in happy to simply work without fuss. A genuine honest hard-working soul, like his dad and mom. In saying all this, I'm glad he is being seen more, that the public are aware of his work n attitude. I'm so happy he has been chosen to accompany the Queen lately. I think he looks like Philip, that William looks like Edward + that James looks like the 3 men - Philip, Edward, William.

@@pollyanna1112 I think you have gone a tad overboard with your comment on my post, you certainly do not come over as silly, I also believe you know precisely the point I was making, Edward is a good son, husband and father, that was never in dispute, things change, Edward is now doing the work of Andrew as 2nd son, and Harry as he is just a troublemaker. I still think Edward needed a week or two, to prepare himself for a role he was not expecting to have. So stop the nitpicking, it serves no purpose.

Her mother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, lived to be just shy of 102 years old and was active to the very end. That active longevity is in the bloodline. 🙂

Yes, but in truth it's not just the Queen, it's the whole System of Government where she, (on the people's behalf), is the final backstop to hold the Politicians that we have elected to account so that they represent us and NOT themselves. Exactly but I thought seeing her walk at Jubilee there was an awful lot pain and some anguish in her face I'm very severely Disabled and confined to bed due to chronic crippling exhaustion, fatigue and lot health problems and having worked as Carer for all ages off elderly they can be so stoicism I'm exactly like that I hide how I actually feel make out I'm much better than I appear to it's called hiding behind mask putting front on I don't know if true her Son Edward said he already opened the Elizabeth line much earlier and plaque Queen opened was several inches smaller in height we are only seeing little snippets of our Beloved Majesty from her body language I can defiantly see herself being very frail hunched back at the neck is old people's condition Osteoarthritis my late grandmother and some of her relatives had it she was very tall yet she shrunk 7 inches older she got more she shrunk I also see her gait (walking) is little uncoordinated and little unsteady I kept thinking to myself she going fall I know this from working and being around my Elders so I find it little disrespectful of some people saying she's faking the health problems for attention so many many people they don't seem to realise this wonderful lady isn't as young and agile any more yes she still sharp as tack but trapped in body that is failing her I feel exactly like that I so badly want to do so much more but I'm no longer physically able the Queen has said she doesn't want seen in public in Wheelchair as to her that's sign of weakness sign off being powerless yet only last week our Blessed Father the Pope is now needing Wheelchair sometimes yet he's ten years younger than Elizabeth as Staunch Catholic I watched him at Easter doing his Easter Blessing he looked in absolute agony and little breathless he had to keep sitting on his seat with help from his Cardinals it's so very very sad seeing our Gracious leaders get so frail and very poorly and in so much pain regardless if there's been privilege life style or not money doesn't come into it we all age at same rate some have much better Genes than others ie look much younger than there real age my nan didn't look 79 at death yet her sister who was nine years older than her at death smoked like chimney had terrible lines on her face from also smoking and drinking all her life yet bizarrely and strange her yellow nicotine stained hair turned back to her birth coloured gypsy blue black hair she was born with and hardly any lines to her face so Genetics, good life style and constantly if oneself can to best off their ability keep active as soon as you stop body sees it as failure and gives up same for real Marriages God forbid me for saying this but usually when one goes the other soon follows its all I've heard during Pandemic either Covid related or just old age even younger like couple both 67 been together since they were teenagers died within minutes of each other having understanding family helps so many youngsters of today don't respect or care about the Elders and Special Needs got no time for them this is another thing our Majesty is grieving terribly it was plain to see last night in Jubilee her Granddaughter riding her husband's horse carriage Elizabeth was in absolute tears. I Pray that our Beloved Majesty ignores the haters, doubters and just spend her last year's enjoying life in slow lane and shun her certain wayward delinquent members of her family as they are bringing her down they should leave her alone give her peace quiet it shames me to see certain family members being so disrespectful to her shame on them nice that Catherine and William take care of her. May God Bless our Queen for the time she has left on this Earth and take it easy
