Freddie ensured us a small insight into his soul with one of the most beautiful love songs. The recorded version is nice, but I prefer this pure and simple performance.

Freddie performed this “not yet recorded” song for the audience .. Hmmm, or did he. This beauty penned by Freddie, was for that special someone who in was in attendance at this concert! Yes, Fred trying to woo them with a vulnerability only Freddie can convey! Please do the studio version, it’s absolutely stunning‼️

This song sounds like an angel is singing. Freddie is so emotive and soft yet he still has the power to put it all across. The rest of the band did not know this song yet because it hadn't yet been recorded, so Freddie just did it solo. Just Freddie and his piano a beauty to behold. There were over 150,000 people at this concert and you can hear a pin drop as Freddie sings. This was a free concert that Queen gave to thank their loyal fans in their England homeland.

So beautiful. More than just the song… Freddie singing it with his body soul and heart… to a 100,000 person audience who didn’t make a sound. 🥰 Freddie is irreplaceable

You are getting into some deep cuts from Queen! Talk about being able to change genres of music, try Back Chat live at Milton Keynes, Cool Cat and Dreamer's Ball live in Paris. Just a few to mention.

I'm a Queen fan and have listened to the album version, you're so right, but you could say that about probably al ther music

I agree! Live, they are incredible for many reasons. Their musicianship and Freddie’s showmanship. But those intricate arrangements and layers disappear on stage. Both versions are incredible but to really hear the song in all its glory it’s the album version you need. Just my opinion of course.

It is only Freddie Mercury who can instruct the audience to listen -- and they follow! Amazing voice. Very versatile! What he can't do? Very talented. I really love and admire him.

Only Freddie could make an excited crowd stay silent and pay so much attention just with his music, literally just him and a piano, I think this was Queen's first biggest audience, it must have been incredible

Pluto, you're so right -- was there anything he couldn't do. The whole band as well -- they could write and perform everything from folk songs to the hardest of hard rockers. Freddie's voice though, it was magic. I've said it before, Freddie was touched by the gods.

No matter how many experts explain it, I will never understand how Freddie could sing such low and high notes with ease, sometimes in the same song, if he really was a baritone, he is the most versatile baritone I have ever seen, managing to gain more and more range. vocal over time

My god this is beautiful. I love the studio version but this is my favourite. It's so raw and simply perfect. Imagine being David Minns and being there to hear it in person. Wow.

The most versatile and tenderest vocal live of Freddie ever! Totally amazing. You couldn't hear a pin drop in the crowd they were so mesmerized and it was 100,000!

Freddie wrote this song for David Minns and he’s sitting in the audience. Freddie left Mary for David . ( just a back story)
