First heard her as a 14 year old, have loved listening to her ever since, I’m 71 years old now. God bless her, one of if not the Best female country stars that ever lived.R.I.P. Patsy 🙏❤️❤️
Crazy... Why do I keep going back in time To these great singers and timeless songs When I know that it’s always going to be bittersweet... Filling me with joy and hitting me hard Knowing they have come and gone before my time. I’m crazy for loving yesterday’s.
*"I LOVE all those country BEAUTIFUL outfits that her mother made for her!!"*-- Her voice is TOTALLY impeccable & timeless-+ which will live on *"FOREVER!!"*
I grew up in the 50's listening to Patsy's songs on the radio and I have always loved her. Imagine all the hits she wasn't able to make.... such a great loss. She was the greatest Country Singer ever!
I'm just discovering Patsy Cline. I grew up hearing her songs but I never knew she died tragically. I am continually so impressed with everything I learn about her. She did so much in her short time. I have such a big crush on her now. She was one of a kind.
What a talent, she would never get to the heights that she so richly deserved! She was probably one of the all time best country singer ever, man or ladies! What a shame we lost her so soon. Can’t say enough about this great talented girl singer!
When I was very young I was given a County Music Record with many of the popular songs my favorite song was I Go Out Walking by Patsy Cline from that moment she was my favorite and still is the best female singer (it my opinion) ever!
For your information, another great duet combination was broken up when Jack Anglin died in a car accident, on his way to Patsy Cline’s funeral. That was a double whammy to Johnny Wright, as Jack Anglin was married to Johnny Wright’s sister.
She goes beyond all other country singers in her abilities to get to the feelings behind the lyrics. Her great voice allowed her to reach far beyond Nashville and become the greatest of them all. In the 20th Century there were a set of several female singers who stand far above all of the others because of that ability to bring the words and emotions to all who listen {Callas in opera; Joplin in Rock; Garland in pre-WWII pop; Piaf in international; Holiday in pure jazz; Bessie Smith in blues]. All other singers in each genre must face comparison with these absolute divas of their respective genres.
I love rock and roll but I have a soft spot for Patsy. She had a beautiful voice. Such a shame she died so young. I would never get in a small plane. RIP Patsy.
Like so many, you are misinformed or you just make up your mind NOT based on facts. It is not the small plane fault. Maybe the pilot made a mistake, or a mechanic made a mistake in fixing something. There are many more reasons.
I enjoy all types of music, but Country-Western music is the most heart warming, beautiful music in the entire universe. It expresses like no other music can the deepest, most beautiful sentiments that human beings are capable of feeling.
Patsy Cline became one of my favourite country singers after Loretta Lynn’s song entitled Coal Miner’s Daughter. Sissy Spacek did a super Job of her Impersonation of Loretta Lynn. They made a memorable combination.
You know that had to be hard on her daughter and son as little kids . You know they wanted their Mama . That made me cry when I seen her daughter's face . 😢 It's all so heart breaking period for all of these families and their friends .
For me, never a big country music fan, but there is sooo much heart & soul, folk in the roots of said country music of Hank Williams & Patsy Cline. Together they seem to embody the best of country music, and ironically & tragically both died young, taken away from us way to early.
My mom always loved to Patsy Cline and I grew up listening to her too she was just a great singer and there will be no one else like her the singers of today who claim that they met her and know her but they don't.
My favourite female country singer! No other female singer has even come close. Patsy Cline and a bottle of wine! What a loss at such a young age and early stage of her career. She could have made great hits in any genre'.
Craxy is my all time favorite song and I just adore Patsy Cline. I'm here now bc I just finished watching the movie about her called Sweet Dreams. She is the greatest country singer of all time, imho.
i was in high school listening to duran duran, the cure, other new wave music, and then one day my bf and i went to some dive restaurant for pancakes, they had a jukebox and someone played Crazy and it was the first time i ever heard that song, and i just was drawn in. i found out who sang it, and got her greatest hits and played the heck out of that cd for months :) good times.
Patsy the greatest and always will be Queen of Country Music and Jim Reeves the greatest of all the men of country music. Both killed WAY before their time in that plane crash!!
There are songs and songs and songs and then there is Patsy. I remember as a little kid in the early sixties, rolling through the southwest deserts in the station wagon and Patsy would come on the radio and everyone just went wowwww. She could melt you.
If God ever blessed a human with the voice of an angel that would be the case with Patsy Cline, the woman could sing the phone book and I'd listen. I was raised on her music, my mom loved listening to Patsy. I am a bit surprised that my favorite song of Patsy's didn't make the video, Faded Love, originally recorded by Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys (another legend in country/western music) it far surpassed Wills version and is quite possibly the greatest cover in the history of music.
One comment said he’d never get in a small plane. To him I would say not to worry so much about the plane. Be careful who you get in the plane with. If you read up on the crash you’ll figure out the pilot was well in over his head with what training he had. As for Patsy.....the all time greatest singer for sure and certain.
SHE HAD SO MANY HITS BUT I REALLY LIKED..... JUST OUT OF REACH OF THESE TWO OPEN ARMS AN... BACK IN BABYS ARMS OH WHAT THE HICK...ALL HER SONGS WERE GREAT!
@@packingten Oh i did not try to say that she is better then Patsy, i just think that Angelina is another story. She brings you back to the time when singers could sing. To argue who is best will always just be wast of time.
I've heard Ray Walker tell that story before about her coming in with her hands on her hips and saying , " Well...they ain't going to get my refrigerator and my car . But in another interview he says she pulled up in her white Cadillac . I don't think she had an old car at that time , IDK , but I just see her saying that too . lol !!
Yes Jessica Lange did a outstanding job, portraying Patsy...I love that damn movie..I actually have it on the vcr tape when it came out..SWEET DREAMS was a wonderful movie
Wow, she was only 30 when she died. It’s so sad that she lived such a short life. But her legacy is extraordinary and people are still singing her songs today!
My Aunt ran a purebred hereford cow/calf & breeding bull operation with my uncle in madera county, california in the 40's & 50's & 60's.I remember as a kid, whenever we visited the ranch for easter & thanksgiving. we would get Patsy Cline all day & night. She was just devastated when patsy cline was killed.
Please everyone, I love Loretta Lynn, but if Patsy would have lived and continued recording, she would have been right up there with Loretta. Perhaps surpassing her in hit songs, but that's a moot point. We'll never know. All I know is that Patsy was incredible. So, so sad she checked out at 30 years of age.
I'm so we leave it at that it's a true inspiration to many many girls and anyone who wants to be but remember it's not about who you want to be who you are! Remember power with that comes great respect you go girls. !
