@MuseAbsolution 03 The only recent shows I seen of Mike since 2016 on were deadcross. While his voice of course isn't in its tip top shape I don't think its diminished very much. I think I need to see him perform live with tomahawk or faith no more to make a better assessment.
Grohl told a hilarious story about how when he was first up in the northwest with Nirvana, they let themselves in one drunken night at Lanagan's pad while he was who knows where...Then Dave awoke on the couch to Mark smoking, staring at him and then barking, "Who the f#ck are you?" Classic! Little did they know they'd be destroying(no pun intended) stages worldwide together 10 years later!

+TheWayOutisThru Every Kyuss album was a masterpiece. Songs for the Deaf was great. But can't sniff Kyuss's jockstrap. We know where this brand came from. Respect the masters of this hard rock genre. It will always be Kyuss. They were better than anyone else and still are.

my go to album is lullabies to paralyze but songs for the deaf is their stand out album. the one that has those songs that everyone would or could sing along to if they headlined Glastonbury for example.
I recently did the trip from LA to Joshua tree and visited rancho de la Luna. All the while listening to QOTSA, a full mix of all there songs. And whilst driving through the desert, I could feel there music like a million times more, literally! They are perfect desert music. This band means so much to me, thanks for sharing

So what you’re saying is you drove up to the gate lol. No one goes in. The only reason we were lucky enough is because we knew Johnny from Pappy & Harriets who knew the dudes. We had been out there shooting in the desert & camping so we offered a couple of the guys to join in to go shooting. Anyway, that’s how we got in and got to see the wonderful Patron Tree.

Wow! "Walkin On Sidewalks" is one of my favorite songs of theirs. To find a version this good is just a gift. To have Mark Lanegan singing lead, Dave Grohl on drums and that great jam on top of it all...great stuff! Wish they would stretch out more like this in concert (at least they haven't really the last few times I've seen 'em).
There’s something I find truly beautiful and haunting about Lanegan’s voice. Especially when he sings the “won’t you want me?” part. The shaky vibrato trailing on the end of each line, his one of a kind growl in all the right places, he was a true legend. RIP Lanegan
This right here, mark on vocals, joshua on first guitar, nick on bass, dave on the fuckinn drums and troy as second is the ultimate greatest rock band of all time.
I remember thinking when I first saw/heard the jam in the middle of Walking on the Sidewalks that the last time four individual musicians had that musical communion, so loose and yet so tight, they were called Led Zeppelin... however many years on, I stick to that!

I just saw Qotsa in Nashville and they were absolutely amazing. However, I would do a lot to see this lineup for a full concert. I miss Nick singing some of these songs and Matt (RIP) as well. That is what truly made them unique, if they werent unique enough. I love this set because this isn't going to be winning a ton of fans but it showcases their range as a band at the time. Fucking amazing.
This song with Mark singing is just perfect, I wish it had been recorded that way, but it made for a nice little special thing during this era of touring.
Interesting to comments lauding Dave , who is obviously great, and Nick but when it comes down to it, Josh is Kyuss and QOTSA as well as being a great guitar player. Josh brought the right or wrong people at certain times but he owns these 2 great bands. Period.
