Lyrically this fascinates me and absolutely breaks my heart in equal measure because it’s sooo relatable! Husband bailed after 13 years and 3 kids later for another woman and once that ideal of ‘truth’ you had in you heart/mind gets shattered like that and the veil is lifted you question absolutely everything you’ve ever known. No bitterness here…just growth, learning and acceptance. Truth is subjective and people will only ever see what they want to see. The new album is gut-achingly raw and I’m in awe of the progress over the years. Roll on tour in November! 🖤

I really liked these songs the first time that I heard them, but they are growing on me even more!!! Reminds me of how I felt listening to Like Clockwork; liked it at first but ended up being one of my very favorite albums ever. Long live QOTSA!!! 🐍🐍🐍

This method of writing lyrics like a snapshot of a moment in time speaks so relatable to lots of people ,like it's extremely personal but at the same time not personal at all. All those songs grow on me and end up being on repeat, like all of their albums have been for me except Era Vulgaris took way much listening, for me. I've been going through a breakup and any song on this album is an observation of my life. Thank God they're back!
