I remember buying Songs for the deaf when I was a kid...it sat on my computer desk for days ..then one night a buddy and I took Ac!d,.. minutes before the trip really started to peak I put that album on and went into another universe... That album forever became special to me and every time I hear a track off that album it always brings back memories from some of the greatest times in my life...times when everything was beautiful times when everything was perfect
The first QOTSA album for me was Josh Homme getting away from Kyuss but still a bit heavy metal, It is a great album and he went on to do superb music after this.
For those of us who were oblivious to Kyuss at the time, this was the riff that started it all. 'Lost Art of Keeping a Secret' was the first 'radio' single, and a good one, but this and 'If Only' really set the tone.
