Hello, thank you for all the views and comments! I'm happy I extended such an underrated track! I actually extended this for the purpose of using it as battle music in my Persona 5 and Ace Attorney crossover story, "Logic and Trickster" on Archive of Our Own. I'm pretty sure this is a Konishi track whereas the Quest Boss is Kozuka.

This has to be one of my favourite Persona battle themes ever. I actually think this sounds better than the boss version of this song.

maybe, these quests / themes didnt come out until the PSP, so it could very be possible but maybe a coincidental

One of the bonus quests takes place in St. Hermelin, which is a school from first game. It can be an intentional reference to PSP version of Persona.

I really hate the PSP version of Innocent Sin and most of the arrangements to the original tracks, but I gotta admit this new track is really a highlight of the ost and it's amazing, blows out of the water the entire PSP ost, it's kind of a shame thought that the track is exclusive to this game since it doesn't fit the game that much in my opinion

Weird how you hate the arrangements. I personally don't like the PSX versions because going back to them now feels like I'm listening to the PSP arrangements with cotton plugging up my ears. They sound muffled but that's a hardware limitation thing that the PSP didn't have to suffer from. The PSP OST is PROBABLY what we would've gotten if it wasn't for the PS1's limitations.

@@stargazersdance I disagree a lot with your opinion tbh, but the arrangements aren't bad in my opinion, they're just very unfitting at times and ruin some scenes for me (I also played with the fan translation of the PS1 version first so I lean more towards that version and its sound design)

I never noticed the p2 music at all. I thought the p1 music was really good in both versions (in very different ways though) but I probably was 80% through my Persona 2 innocent sin playthrough before realizing I didn't remember a single song, I even tried switching over to the old music just to see if there was a difference and I barely noticed anything.

I have a feeling that all the current Persona 2 IS&EP fans are going to wish it were still niche whenever the P5 fandom takes it over and calls it their own. (Not gatekeeping just saying be careful what you wish for.)

No marketing, no localization of P2 IS (PSX version) and P2 EP (PSP) and those games were released nearly end of life of consoles (PSX and PSP).

I've been thinking about this a lot, and I'm not fully sure if I can come up with a definite answer! I really just like this theme, and think it gives kind of a unique sort of emotional feel compared to Will Power. I have nothing against Will Power though, so maybe at some point I might find a good opportunity to use it in the story at a crucial moment!
