The q30 is a very good machine. I have about 6 hrs use and I love the q30. I wish it had threshold in allodes and maybe tone break for iron I use a v3i and an etrac I bought the q,30 for rainy days. But I find my self Us ngit in the same areas as I have pounded with other machines for 20 yrs the q30 pulled targets that went previously missed or just not spotted by my daughter they any updates upcoming? Maybe threshold or iron break adjustments?
Hello George, thank you for the feedback, it is really nice to hear that you are happy with the Q30. For the tone-break feature you have to choose the Q30+, so you can choose a tone specificially for the target ID range of iron. Additionally it has a built-in wireless module to connect wireless headphones. So maybe you can consider getting a Q30+! I wish you all the best

My q30 is s 3 weeks old now can I send it to you and exchange for a + model? I ofcourse would addthe difference in $$$ thank you happy hunting G

@@klaudiovidal436 You have to set the Ground Balance to 0 and lower the sensitivity in salt water to around 50 - 60, this is how most people find success. But it depends on the kind of ground, the higher the mineralization, the more difficult it is for the Q30, at a certain level you have to lower the sensitivity so much that it will hardly detect anything (I hope this is not the case in your location) My translator has difficulties with the word "sumba", can you tell me what you mean with the part about the gold 1 search mode again? Congratulations on your purchase! I would suggest using the BEACH mode, maybe PARK. It also depends on what and how deep you want to search. And don't forget to set the sensitivity so that the detector is working quiet. The best way to choose the right mode is by trying different modes, as ground conditions and number and kind of objects highly affect the best choice- good luck in the water!

Hello David, these are the differences between the Q30 and Q30+: - The Q30+ has a built-in wireless module to connect headphones, the wireless headphones are included in the scope of delivery for the Q30+ (Normal Q30 has no wireless module and no wireless headphones) - The Q30+ has a "tone-break function", means you can customize the target ID break-points, at which the tone changes (for example you want to hear a "iron tone" up to target ID 40, so you can set the first tone to be used until a higher target ID than 40)
Hi there! The frequency shift can help to avoid wrong signals. For example if you and a friend of yours walk with both a Q30 close to each other, they may interfere with each other and give wrong signals. This may also occur due to other electronic devices that work on the same frequency. With this option, you can adjust the frequency by a little margin so these wrong signals stop.
