Lads I know you are not always in a position to do it because of not being in the same room, but it would be good to have a visual of you both conversing from time to time. Just a thought

"Think Tanks" (which should be regarded as Propaganda Tanks) are less influential because the Media have such a dominating influence in England.

Thank you for being so kind and understanding about trans people like me. Being used as we are in politics is very frightening for us. You are right that young people see this as an old persons issue. All we ask is to be left alone to live our lives. Yes, it’s unclear how many trans people there are. It’s very likely under 1% of the population.

They go on about trans issues because it's the only cultural issue that conservatives actually have a chance of holding the popular opinion on right now. The general population is socially liberal on just about every topic (to the point that Cameron passed gay marriage against the wishes of his party) but trans issues are the one thing that's up for debate in the general populace so they're piling all they can into it. They can't win on race, they can't win on gays, they can't win on disabled people, the only things that are left to punch down at in plain sight are poor people and trans people.

Gaelic and not "Celtic" roots. That the Continental Keltoi, a loose assortment of tribes strewn across Eastern France, Germany and Austria, inhabited the island of Ireland is pure myth. The rulers and inhabitants of Gaelic Ireland, before or after 2AD, did not identify as "Celtic". The Gaelic influence in Scotland is strong, linked to the settlement of leading Ulster Gaelic clans along its West coast with territorial control on both sides of the Irish Sea.

Hamilton was killed in a duel, had absolutely no black heritage (although his family owned slaves in the Caribbean) and was a rank opportunistic. Nigel, on the other hand, is boring as hell. Clean, uncorrupt courts? How do you reconcile the Julian Assange fiasco?

You are right. You are not a welcoming country any more .

If you are Clan Campbell, it looks like you are also Clan Stewart by genetics. "Descendants of Sir Duncan Campbell, 1st Lord Campbell (Donnchadh) and his wife Lady Marjorie Stewart would be descendants of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland and Robert II Stewart, King of Scotland. Lady Marjorie Stewart, b. 1390 was the daughter of King Robert II's son, Robert Stewart, 1st Duke of Albany.[5] This would make all descendants of Sir Duncan Campbell and Lady Marjorie Stewart descendants of Robert I Bruce and most of the early Kings of Scotland.[5]" -wikipedia for Clan Campbell

Most members of clans aren't related to the chiefly family, no more than anyone else at least. The vast majority of clan members descend from peasants and tenant farmers who adopted their Laird's name as a sign of fealty

Good stuff lads, think some of the Trans issues glossed over. The big demographic it does concern seem to be women and the implication on single sex spaces. It does look like there is a conflict on rights in some capacity

I wonder when Trans people will understand that very few people in this country give a hoot and far more important things to worry about, like food and heat, environment etc.

Maybe when the media and 90% of the media establishment (particularly in the UK) don't keep attacking them/their existence? Trans rights = human rights.

I wonder when Truss and Sunak will realise that lol

Most trans people are well aware of this, it is not them making a big deal out of this issue.

When there is a partisan voter base everything becomes about disproportionately pandering to the minority that can push you just over the edge into power.

@@paulbarnes8905The media attacks everyone for everything and in that respect its equal. Whether you want to change the freedom of the press is another matter. Sometimes I wish! Then you should be careful for what you wish. My point really was about the very real major problems we face.
