One of my favorite episodes of this podcast. And Quest has really matured as a host over the years. He now steps in when needed and in this case, he laid back because Dallas' stories didn't really need any nudging.

Bro, I used jam the HELL outta HPM in college! Brilliant album...Dirt Road White Girl, Daddy, Black People...VERY underrated album. Always wondered what happened to them. Damn, now I know! If Chip wasn't acting a damn fool, we'd have probably gotten a 2nd or 3rd album... Damn shame. They should have just replaced his ass.

Andrew Daniel's, eventually the three other members went on to do individual projects. " BooBoo"(Derrick Culbreath), went on to work on Austin's FreeWorld Record label, where he changed his Artist name to " Derrick Demitry", where he did the original version of " Let's Get It On Tonight", but was unreleased, shelved until Universal purchased rights to the song, that's when Montell Jordan re-done the song and became a hit after wards. Culbreath went on to do several unreleased projects with SuperProducers Tim & Bob, etc. " Chip" also went on to do several projects with FunkMaster George Clinton , even recording with Clinton on Paisley Park for a few songs. Melvin Davis, the rapper of the group, Better Known As " ELoc", went out to the West Coast , formed his own independent label for a stint. The group collectively recorded a version of " WhiteMen Can't Jump" for the movie, and also collaborated with several indiscriminate LaFace Artists, to form the group The LaFace Cartel.

Questlove needs to stop speaking on Michael seriously and mentioning Renaissance? The basic album full of samples and writers? Literally anyone can take samples and make a great song. Michael was not that basic and always tried to look in the future not the past. Also with the comparison of Off the wall Questlove sounds really ridiculous these days. History is great btw and They Don’t care about us and Stranger in Moscow beats anything on her album and you have to remember this is the first album after those allegations which would destroy alot of people but no he kept persevering and continued to make hits.
