@@TherealSoggyCan The important difference is that the scene in TCW was released 9 years after that. Through this and the scenes in Star Wars Clone Wars (2D) it was hinted all along to the mindful watcher that Qui Gon was still there.
Qui-Gon is, imo, the greatest Jedi to exist. He has his own way of doing things and honestly his ways were more in tune with what a Jedi is then what the Council could've ever hoped to be. Not to mention he believed in Anakin whole heartedly while the others simply believed in him vaguely.
I think the Jedi mirror our society in a way. Even if this is an overly optimistic way of looking at it, I think most people want to do the right thing but have their own idea of good and care to much about themselves and others always getting it right the first time (like the Council), while some are open to possibility and much more optimistic (like Qui Gon).
@@marshmallowvampire8503 That's what makes Qui-Gon unique. He wasn't just optimistic, he was a renegade in a way but a good one. He didn't disobey the council to spite them, he did it to show that doing good didn't need to just be done to prove the Force was guiding you. Qui-Gon's heart was his greatest weapon.
Once Qui Gon Jinn became one with the 'Force', he became what can essentially be called, "formless". He could be any form he wanted to be(not shapeshifting mind you. Completely different)!
If Qui Gon Jinn survive from Maul's stab in TPM, he would have to train Anakin after Obi Wan complete his trials to Knighthood. Anakin would probably become one of the best Jedi and Force user in the galaxy if he control the emotions and balance the Light & Dark Sides of the Force instead becoming Darth Vader we know.
@@GreatfulGert anakin never had a father qui gon is the only father figure that cared for him that he ever knew... Its easy to get attached in these circumstances.
@@thephoenix4093 that’s why he also had trust issues with the chancellor, the chancellor was nice and respectful to him that anakin couldn’t bring himself to stand up to him
What makes qui gon so special is that the reason he refused a seat in the council was that he knew that the council have become arrogant and absess with politic and thus was able to destroy the sith faster . The Jedi should have been like him .
Guess it took him 10 years to finally “complete” his training in order to have a physical Force Ghost body. My theory is that since he was so in tune with the Force, he was able to do the impossible and still complete his training albeit much, much longer than Yoda, Kenobi and the rest.
18:46, such a peaceful recap. Wish we can have a movie or show telling us the story here, how Dooku turned into the Darkside. A story of Dooku, how he got trained, and how he trained Qui-Gon, and how he turned. would be a big hit.
As far as I concern, Qui-Gon Jinn is undoubtedly one of the wisest Jedi Master of this era, next to Grandmaster Yoda. He is the only Jedi of his era to have become considered (unofficially) as Gray Jedi without either falling to the Dark Side. He is the typical person of the real world version that views both light and darkness as equals and balance that needed each other. Adding the fact that he is a green lightsaber user (just like Luke Skywalker), he is more of a diplomatic Jedi and a negotiator. Preferring to fight evil through wisdom and patience, rather than resorting to violence and fighting it bluntly, similar to some blue lightsaber users.
Only hear. He isn’t a full force ghost so no body only voice The scene of him with a body on Mortis was in their heads I think or just because of that place
It means so much that while Qui-Gon as a Force Ghost can communicate with different Jedi, he only actually appears to Obi-Wan and Anakin. He doesn't even show himself visually to Master Yoda. It shows how much Qui's two beloved final Padawans meant to him personally, beyond what was necessary or customarily accepted between Master & Apprentice.
@@JournaloftheWhills good question, really interesting to consider! The Dooku/Qui-Gon bond certainly didn't ever seem as warm and enduring or intimate as the one between Qui/Obi or even Qui/Anakin. However, we do know from extended canon that Dooku deeply regretted not staying closer with Qui, and wished their paths in the Force had not diverged so far apart. Qui-Gon's feelings about Dooku haven't been explored so much, it would be nice for a canon work to go there and give us more insight.

Something I enjoy about Qui-Gon is his unwillingness to backdown under pressure of the council, if he saw something as the will of the force nothing could sway him
I subbed to this channel and I am a huge star wars fan myself and I wish qui gon was still alive in the star wars franchise like movies and shows etc I do like his character and everything about him he legit asf
Too bad that Qui-Gon couldn't do that force bitch slap on Maul when they were in the final room so he'd just fall and Qui-Gon would've survived. Qui-Gon Jinn is easily one of my favorite characters in the franchise.
Roles Qui-Gon Jinn is the one of the two protagonists (alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi) in the Phantom Menace, a posthumous character in Attack of the Clones, Clones wars and Revenge of the Sith and a vocal cameo in The Rise of Skywalker
In Star Wars The Clone Wars the CG animated show, when Anakin says "Master", to Qui-Gon Jinn's Force Ghost, it would've been so sweet, heartwarming, and wholesome, if Anakin Skywalker called Qui-Gon "Father", you know
I'm pretty certain that qui gon always knew who anakin would be and that qui gon had to die for anakin to become vader who then would save the galaxy. but I believe he knew how this would play out
18:36 gets me welled up with tears, the fact what could have been but isn't because of all the death, tragedy and betrayal. Sad to think that most of the jedi here, even the padawans are dead :(
19:08 Obi-Wan in Yoda's vision seems a bit more outspoken and pragmatic than we know him to be in the prequels--here, he rather than Qui Gon tactfully but firmly cuts off Dooku's story (implied to be long and boring and probably one he's told before) and gets both of his venerable Masters to stop gabbing. That in itself was a big clue to the unreality of the situation.
the roles are reversed. obi wan was the walking rulebook, stern and disapproving, retentive and tense, qui gon was the happy go lucky risktaker anything goes maverick.
Remember when people died for years in Star Wars and there were actual stakes, then a Padawan could suddenly raise people from the dead after being the person who actually destroyed Palpatine, thus negating the importance of Qui Gonn's struggle in Phantom Menace?
"Bring balance to the Force"=when there are too many Jedi, kill them all. When there are so many Sith, kill them all. Now not that much Jedi and Sith left, the world is finally in peace. Mission accomplished. Nice work Anakin!
Indeed. People seem to forget that wiping out both sides is also a form of balance. A dark form that reduces all to zero to start over. In a way, Anakin did bring balance in those most bloodthirsty way possible.
