Cool, another bike with Florida origin. I bet the possibility of closing those vents helps quite a bit, in colder weather.

That bike looks AWESOME! Great find :D How do you like the infotainment screen being so far away, compared to your other bike?

Thank you. As far as the distance to the screen - it is a good stretch. I may end up getting arm extension surgery or a reaching stick. I am getting real proficient with the joysticks.

@@RRatedCustoms Yeah, you're the guy who told me to master the joysticks - guess that's coming in handy :D Don't get the surgery, the recovery time is too long, you'll miss riding season!

Nice bike. I am looking to upgrade my 2010 Yamaha Stratoliner to my first Harley. I want a full dressed for 2 up riding. I’m torn between the Ultra and the Road Glide. Also torn between a 2014-2016 TC and the new M8. Question for you…how do you like the M8 compared to your Ultra. I’m 6’2” so am also curious about wind buffeting.

An addition. This is the new long distance trip go to bike. The old one has almost 115k miles so to get rid of it would doom it to scrap or shipping overseas. Plus no one would give me what it is worth in hotrodding around and compliments from strangers.

Honestly if you are riding above 60 mph then the Road Glide is a better option with THIS FAIRING. I have not got my hands on a redesigned fairing to test yet. There are two downsides to the RG fairing though. One is that the front speakers do not sound as good stock to stock on the batwing fairings because the sharknose pits them out further. The second has to do with bugs and rain. With more distance between you and the windscreen on the sharknose then the more chance of something coming in between you and the windscreen. The batwing is great handling below 60 mph and feels more nimble in parking lots because the weight of the fairing follows the forks. It is kind of like it slings a little. The RG has better bars stock than the Ultra. I recommend trying each before you buy one. H-D does demo days and there is EagleRider that rents them. Now for motors. The TC is fine in the batwing. The M8 is a lot smoother. I would hesitate on a TC Road Glide because of the paintshaker movement. Imagine the weight of the fairing getting bounced out that far in front of the bike.

I have some spinal issues so I am down to 5'10". I am supposed to be 6'1". I have a 32" inseam.
