Thank you soooooooo much for helping me learn this beautiful technique - I am gifting at least one in acrylic yarn to one of my best friends - and I am thrilled (almost at the verge of feeling like a little kid at Christmas) that you took the time to teach me this. I subscribed to your channel as soon as I watched this video. A very big and happy hug from Norway... Two thumbs up!

I live in the Canadian Arctic, so we have the privilege of enjoying eight months of winter. The first year I lived north, I frost it my ears, and have never been without a headband/ear warmer ever since! This is a SUPER pattern and will make a lovely gift for the ladies on my staff for Christmas this year (shhhhhh…..don’t tell anyone!). 😉☺️😊

Love this! I followed Bonnie's video using the same Charisma yarn in off-white color and a 6.5mm hook. My headband measured the same as Bonnie's before slip stitch join (4.5"W x 19.5"L). [The SL join at the end adds about 1/2".] However, my headband resulted in a tighter, more dense, 8.5 cable sections. I tend to work with a little bit tighter stitch. I suppose that's because I'm not very experienced in crochet (still learning after a month). Love the final result! Thanks, Bonnie! ♥️

Man im so sad I've had to start it three time. I've tried a few times to learn this cable stitch I really thought I was getting it but up where your skipped the three stitch it went down hill. I took it all apart and just rolled up the yarn. I've learned from watching videos i've never had a one on one teaching lesson. I don't hold the yarn the same way as most do. I've made hats and other items but I will one day be able to do this stitch. Today my kids kept asking questions so I would pause the video. Yesterday's in the night when I was working on this it was peaceful quiet cuz they were all gone to a friend's wedding and I was home alone. I'll try one more time another day thanks for putting this out there the video was great.

that 1st row of crossing, now when you say go in the next three doing back post, do are you going in the first bottom three then top or top first. a little confused
@BonnieBayCrochet
@BonnieBayCrochet 7 лет назад
When working the half-double crochets, you will work these in the normal way, through the top 2 strands of the stitch on previous row. When working the treble crochets for the crossing of the cable, use front post treble crochets which wrap around the post. Make sense? If not, please ask again. Blessings, Bonnie Barker BonnieBayCrochet.com

@BonnieBayCrochet

At the beginning of row 6 do you skip the half do. Because it looks like you did one
@BonnieBayCrochet
@BonnieBayCrochet 6 лет назад
Honestly, you can choose to skip the first hdc, or not, it is up to you and won't make much difference as long as you work the 2 post stitches and then the cable as shown, ending with 2 post sts on the end and a hdc in the turning ch. Hope this is helpful!

@BonnieBayCrochet

This is a 4 row repeat, from Rows 2 - 5. Row 6 will be an even row, which has the front side facing, so you would be working front post double crochets.

Patti, you can always slow this way down by clicking on the gear-shaped icon in the lower right of your screen (on computer), or the three vertical dots in the upper right on your phone screen. Then choose the playback speed. You can slow this down very easily this way, and this works for ALL RU-vid videos.
