easily built paint shaker with stuff in the garage. Works just as good as a commercial shaker for a fraction of the cost. No more trips back up to the hardware store to shake or stir paint.
Hi there I think this is a fantastic idea I mean I agree I don't wanna go to Lowe's or Home Depot to get my cans shaken up! So the bolt in the back looks like there's a lot more to it and I was curious about what you had there? So obviously you have a bolt with two nuts jammed together, what is that bushing-looking thing on top and does the bolt go all the way through your countertop with a washer on the bottom of it or is it just sitting in a hole? I'm curious maybe you could add to the video or just let me know I'd appreciate it thank you. again awesome job
Well this works, but if 2” longer, with rabbits cut into each side, side a board into these slots, use a round cut metal, plywood with a threaded bolt. Wood blind nut and weld a 4-5” bar handle on it. This can at least hold the can still, keep the lid on, and make the lid round cut for a quart, gallon or spray spray can, or 2, or 3. The assembly could hold the reciprocating saw held with Velcro within its own frame on the side bolted together. I am a retired tech, but 10mm or lager ball bearings come out of front wheel bearings. Cleaned, during can inspection, throw 2 or 3 inside to help the process! It never hurts to throw ideas out there. DK, Retired ASE Master and painter.
its a dewalt- its handled worse through the years (its probably 8years old or so- and i'm just an occasional painter when she says i am) take care and thanks
