The PS5 pad suffers spring failure in the haptic triggers that results in a loose feel to the trigger. If you have this issue you will find you keep triggering the R2/L2 with barely any force.
You can easily repair the pad at a low cost with some simple tools found around the home. You need a Philips (star drive) screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver and a butter knife comes in handy on the R1/L1 buttons. You will also need some replacement springs found on eBay - just search PS5 R2/L2 spring.

I have also uploaded a specific video detailing how to fix the L2 trigger. Its slightly different due to the orientation of the spring....If the L2 is your issue....head to that video.
