John gives us a little update on how the bees in the Anel Hive are doing in this Arkansas heat.

I've switched over four hives now. They are running side by side with four wood hives. No comparison -- the Anel hives ROCK!

Given the 110+ heat index right now and the -5 wind chill this past winter, this Anel has definitely peaked my interest! It could solve several seasonal problems. Please keep us up to date on how the hive does! Thanks, John!

Hello Hello I guess your season has been wide open just like everyone else. Here is NC we are having hi temperature also . I have hives in full sun and I have hives in sun and shade . I run screen bottom boards on all my hives and also I run screened top inter covers with the lids propped open on the front so it all can vent very well. The hives have A LOT of bees in them . They all beard around the same maybe a little different but close . Thanks for the info on her hive I may just have to try something like that . I hope you all are having a great season. Thanks

That's what I need here in north west alabama heat index of 107 today hard on the bees. Great looking hive the bees are not paying attention to the heat. ❤️🐝 RTBBF

Another great video. Been a while. Impressive visual difference between the hives. Are the others vented bottom boards? Even here in northern Wisconsin we hit 100 degrees and it’s hard on the bees productivity. Looking forward to meeting you when I stop into your store in early August.

I used anel hives in Central Wisconsin. They work great for overwintering. I use zero venting up top and the bees go through winter without using much resources.

Does your wooden hives have an open (antivarroa) bottom ?

Can you spray the hives with water al light mist spray

Sure! However it's so hot out here that the water would evaporate rather quickly. I suppose there could be an application for sprayed water though. Always helps to keep it cool. I wouldn't spray it inside though, that just creates more humidity.
