June 29, 2022: During my time on the Union Pacific Boone Sub across Iowa, I had hopes of getting the elusive CN local that operates as a turn between Denison and Council Bluffs. Sure enough, one evening while passing through Denison, I heard the CN dispatcher issuing a track warrant for the local to head west toward Council Bluffs. What followed was a spirited chase between Denison and Logan. Thanks to the slow pace of the train, the chase was rather simple and quite fun!
