the electrical quick couplers suck I have replaced mine on my 289 twice. Once was my fault like you bent it. Wish they went back to the hydraulic couplers
Yeah I would like to see them protect the actuator better like have a plate underneath to keep things from coming up from the ground. When I bought this machine the salesman from cat said that the coupler has this plastic piece inside that breaks real easy. I’m thinking why don’t they make that metal. Then things would last.
You know I replaced mine last year. I put a brand new assembly on. But when I was looking at them on line I saw just the actuator and I thought hey I can buy that and take the old one off and put the new one on. So I went and tried to disassemble mine and it would not come apart. So that’s why I bought the whole assembly. I still think that it has to separate somehow or they wouldn’t sale just the actuator.
