📝 Detailed Breakdown:
For this project, we will be demonstrating how to add some text onto a hoodie sleeve by using the 4.25" x 13" vertical/sleeve Mighty Hoop. The materials we will be using is the hoop, one sheet of 3.0 oz cut away stabilizer which will be folded in half for extra support and the hoodie itself. In order to set this all up, we first lay down the bottom hoop and place the stabilizer on top. To hold this into place, we use some tape at the top and bottom of the stabilizer as we do not currently have the stabilizer holder for this hoop. With this, we carefully slide the bottom hoop and stabilizer into the sleeve and use the fabric fold line to line the hoop up with the center of the sleeve. Once we are sure everything is in place where we want it, we snap the top hoop on and are ready to take it over to the embroidery machine. When putting the hoop onto the embroidery machine, we want to take extra caution to make sure nothing is going to get caught up during embroidery. To do this, we slide the bobbin arm through the head hole down the entire sleeve. and tuck all excess fabric underneath the machine making sure it is out of the way. When it is done, we remove the hoodie and hoop the clean up the final product. Simply remove the hoop from the hoodie and pull the sleeve inside out to trim up any excess stabilizer. Cut as close as possible to the text without cutting the hoodie. After that, the hoodie is done and ready to be worn!

Thank you for the kind words. I've only really learned through others that share RU-vid videos as well as personal trial and error. I am glad to see my videos are beneficial to other people!

Thank you for sharing. I’ve noticed you don’t use any kind of adhesive on your stabilizers, how do you get the material to stay put?

Depends on the application. I prefer mighty hoops and they sell a thin outer hoop which can help hold the stabilizer in place. For this video, I did not have that piece so I simply used strong tape to hold it onto the bottom hoop while I got it into place. Once its and the machine starts embroidery, then it should hold in place until its done. I've tried sticky stabilizer but it always just ends up so messy and ruins the hoops which require alcohol or heavy soaking to clean it off.

Thanks for watching! This one is called "Dinko" which was one of the fonts pre-installed on my Melco DesignShop program

Just curious. Why do you snip the corners of the stabilizer after cutting it down.

Just so its less likely to get snagged or anything like that. You 1000% don't have to, just a small detail that I did when I started and still do depending on the design
