The gas supplier said DO NOT use teflon on your torch set up, as it is oil based and can catch fire. He mentioned there are oxy acetylene safe thread tapes.
what would you think about getting a cheep older victor regulator off ebay and doing a rebuild? would you think thats worth it or not for the safety factor?
do your homework on the explosiveness of oil contamination and body oil goes with it and I'm not calling him dumb because we all do things to save a buck
He’s working on the fuel side of the system anyhow. Your concern is warranted on the oxygen side, but there will be a petroleum derived gas flowing through that regulator shortly.
