This has nothing to do with this video,sorry, I have a question about venting, My water heater vent is 14 inches wide, will that cause back drafting? My water heater is Bradford white 50 gallon, 3.5 years old, the plumber did not change the vent when he installed the water heater.
the size of the vent pipe is dependent upon how many BTU's per hour the water heater can use and how the vent pipe is run and the length of the vent pipe. The diameter of the water heater is not the correct info to figure that out. But you can start this process by looking at the at the data plate on the water heat to figure out the BTU capacity of the appliance. then you can see what size vent pipe was run and figure out the length of the vent pipe. I took several pictures of the vents in attic where it is connected to gas vents and also to. from water heater in closet to the ceiling, but I have forgo tent how to send pictures.
