These are very easy to make cookies, using just 5 ingredients. Tender and buttery they are great with tea or coffee but just as good served on the side with some mousse, posset etc, as a dessert.

Hi Geoff, beautiful cookies….. lovely with a cuppa as you say…. I was just thinking, I’ve got a glass with a lovely pattern on the base, would be perfect to ‘smoosh’ my cookies down a little on the tray and give a nice pattern….I’ve never made these with ground almonds so looking forward to trying…..hope your lucky recipient was pleased with their generous gift…. HI Julie-joy. Yes these are good for when an unexpected visitor turns up. Practising is always a good idea, and does necessitate a cuppa or two.
