Great video! Looks like they did a pretty good job with the safety and absolute necessities, but may have dropped the ball a bit on the quality of life aspects of the truck.

they did a terrible job with the dash, too many switches behind the wheel where you cant see them. the display and the knob that selects the things on the display is terrible. not near enough storage space, either in the cab or sleeper, the paccar engine is also very loud, the fan slows the truck more than the jake brake when applied. the cupholders suck, and the power ports are right behind them, that tray behind the cup launchers is also an excellent device to launch anything placed there to the floor. the turn signal switch is the worst aspect, like a 80s transformer toy, it feels like its going to break, then it gives with a snap. very poor design. it has the turning ratio of an aircraft carrier. I'v put 150k on my 2021, its pretty much freighliner's salesman of the year...

Optional shelves are available in the wardrobe cabinet. An air 5th wheel release is also a factory option. If you are looking for additional storage, it's not uncommon for drivers to remove the upper bunk mattress and put crates up there. That is a primary reasoning for the 1/3rd split upper bunk versus a full stowaway bunk.

I'd opt for the Western Star. Paccar needs to put their narrow cabs to rest and go with the wide cabs like Daimler and Volvo.
