This week I wanted to upgrade my embroidery needle storage (I was just using the paper holder it came with!), so I designed this super simple and quick-to-make needle book! In less than an hour (honestly less than half an hour depending on how much you embellish it) you can have a super portable and handy needle book.

► What is Dano Does Things?
My name is Danielle, but you can call me by my childhood nickname, Dano! I am 30 years old and I live in the prairies of Canada. I am an anthropologist by education, a regulator by trade, and a hobbyist at heart.
I grew up loving all forms of arts & crafts & performance. As an adult, I was looking for an outlet to encourage myself to stay connected to my creativity and so, in October of 2019, Dano Does Things was born.
I love trying new things and learning new skills, and my hope with this channel is that I can encourage and inspired others to embrace their creativity.
I dabble in a little bit of everything - watercolor painting, acrylic painting, cross-stitch, embroidery, gouache, papercraft - though lately, I have been finding a lot of joy in doing fibre crafts. Needle felting and felt crafts are my current obsession, but I’m always looking for new things to do.
Besides crafting I love playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons, drinking tea, hiking and exploring with my boyfriend, and watching Critical Role with my fluffy calico cat, Dori.
