I first heard about needle minders a little over a year ago when I picked cross stitching back up after a four-year break. Being a crafty person, I thought to myself, "I can make those," so I ordered magnets. Once they arrived, I grabbed some supplies, like glue and buttons, from around my house and made a few. Then I made a few more, and then some more. This tutorial is a short video of how I make needle minders for my cross stitch projects. I hope this video is helpful to you. Please comment or email any questions that you may have for me.
List of Supplies:
- Neodynium magnets
- E6000 Adhesive
- craft wire cutters, like Beadalon
- old jewelry pieces, such as earrings, necklace pendants, and bracelet charms
- buttons
- enamel pins
- heavy card stock for resting pieces on while glue is wet to protect surfaces
- cotton swabs, like Q-tips
- wipes for clean up that is safe for skin, like Huggies
Please Be Safe and Aware:
- Neodynium magnets may be harmful when swallowed. Please store out of reach of young children and pets who may try to eat them.
- They may also be problematic for persons with pacemakers and other internal devices. If unsure, please consult a physician before using.
- Never store near or on electronic devices, such as computers, tablets, and phones, in case of potential damage to them.
- Please remember that the magnets are powerful and may jump towards each other while handing them. Please watch your fingers!
About Rose Opal Knits:
We are a mother-in-law (Erica) and daughter-in-law (Daphne) duo who love to spend our free time crafting. Both of us are passionate about knitting. We spend a lot of our time planning our next knitting projects while our hands are busy knitting our current projects. We also enjoy crochet, although we haven't been crocheting for long. Erica picked cross stitch back up after a four-year break, and Daphne is giving embroidery and sewing a try.

Hello! I am sorry, but I can't find the information from my purchase of the magnets. However, they are small. They are about 1/3 of an inch in diameter.
