This is not an exhaustive list and would probably change when asked again, but it's always a fun question to contemplate!

When will you make a West Coast ipa! These shipping cost for Blind pig are killing me. Love your lager program bit your ipas and pale ales are too turbid for me and many others Clear, bitter , clean. Once you do that you'll have EVERYONE.

Julius and Cantillon can be checked off in one trip. A stop at Treehouse Charlton followed by a meal at Armsby Abbey in Worcester with a bottle of Cantillon (in addition to amazing brews on tap). It’s a nice day trip with multiple stops. This is not a paid advertisement. 😂

This is one of my favorite videos. I think most people who follow Tree House will know about (most of) these beers and want to know more. I've had three of them, know about Side Project but have never been able to get it and never heard of Tipo Pils. I would love to see more bucket list by individual beer style videos in the future.

My fiancé and I live close to side project in St. Louis, and can’t recommend their barrel aged stout enough. They also do a fantastic job with their farmhouse ales, some of which are also barrel aged. Worth a stop if you’re ever passing through St. Louis!

Went to Cantillon in April. What an amazing place! Very small but boy they push a lot of beer out of there. They had some of the 2024 Zwanze day beer, which was a Gueuze brewed on a type of seaweed. Very different for them! Great memories there.

Love hearing Nate talking about his insight on other craft breweries and not just macro beers. More of this style video! Side note, I just got back from WA where I had both Blind Pig and Pliney. On my way home from that same trip I stopped at Tree House…neither hold a candle to Julius (or Heady Topper for that matter) in my opinion.

Solid choices! I would add Saison Dupont, Westvleteren 12, and a Schlenkerla Rachbier to that list. Maybe Orval too.... Westy may be more difficult to acquire stateside though.

Was fortunate to have gone to Cantillon back in May. Between that, Kulminator in Antwerp, and finding some Westvletern outside the monastery, it was an awesome Belgian vacation.

My best memory of drinking Julius is a fresh can cracked at BT's BBQ, just before going back to Tree House for draft pours! I've been lucky enough to try all the beers on your list, and they are all great and iconic! I'd also add the Unfiltered version of Schlenkerla Helles. Its one of the best Helles lagers I've ever had, with a delicious soft touch of smoke!!

Wow! No Westy 12? I would have said: 1)Julius............... 2) Beer-Barrel-Time.............. 3) Westvleteren 12............. 4) Pliny the elder...... 5)Cantillon, maybe Fou' Foune or the Classic Gueuze. And a 6th honorable mention... "Heady".

Westy 12 is inconsistent...great when amazing..Rochefort 10 is better but the daddy of the bunch of quads is De Struise Pannepot Reserva.

My first international trip was to Brussels and people were confused because who goes to Brussels for their first trip. I told everyone for beer specifically Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen. I can't wait to go for my third time lol.

I've noticed that with overhyped beers is, they usually seem to underwhelm. A few months ago I was able to have a fresh pint of pliny the elder and was slightly disappointed. Nothing jumped out to me as special. It was just a normal west coast IPA to me.

living in California, I see Russian river beers often. Pliny is just for history's sake but many doubles nowadays are definitely better. I currently have their Citra flash mob ipa bottle I'm going to try, so hopefully I really enjoy it. The Belgian golden they have is good and one of the wine barrel beers I had a little taste of was great. Their other styles are probably more worthy than just the typical Pliny or pig.

First time I had Pliny the Elder was very memorable. So crisp and so well made. Or course my first Julius was just as memorable!!!!

Surprised that I have 3/5 on this list already having tried Cantillion for the first time earlier this year (Pinot Noir Lambic was nothing short of outstanding!). Will have to try and find Topopils and Side Project soon!

Don’t forget Aecht Schlenkerla Rachbier but that’s also a beer you need to appreciate since smoked beer is quite a strange flavor. But i love it in the fall season the campfire and smoked bacon are so good. But Cantillon makes fantastic one of my favorites my al time favorite brewery is Nevel Wild Ales from the Netherlands.

I strongly agree with this list. Only thing I would change is the pilsner. A lot less historical significance, but I think a Pilsner from Suarez is as good as it gets.

There's so many great gueuze producers in Belgium it's just Cantillon is so og. Bokke; Girardin; Tilquin; Hanssens; etc etc. I'm suprirsed Orval was not in the list and recommend anything by De Struise brewery in Belgium. Mine would be; 1; De Struise Pannepot Reserva; 2; Kate The Great by Portsmouth Brewing Co; 3 Orval (closest thing to real old English IPA); 4 Pilny and 5 Any Kernel RIS. Then again the next day it would be totally different. I love Tipopils. Probably the most underrated beer in the world. If it was of historical importance my list would be 1; Fuller's ESB; 2; Sierra Nevada PA; 3 Harvey's RIS; 4 Westmalle Tripel & 5 Cantillon Gueuze. Julius is my favourite hazy boi. Good Morning is my fav US RIS coffee adjunct stout. Thank you Jay Omnobono.

Five beers is a narrow list, so I get it. That said, Cascade who has recently shuttered, deserves a place at the table, IMO. Russian River and TH Julius are inarguable.. it would be GREAT to see TH save Cascade in Portland. Investigate?

I am not a Trappist fan but westveleteren 12 is the best beer I’ve ever had and I’ve tried all from this list. All the ones Nate mentioned are amazing beers tho! Excellent choices!
