Didn’t work for me, saw that same fix somewhere else and went back to the range this past weekend with no success. I will look at few more videos for fixes.
@@pokeprofit1033 I already own 3 Rugers, wanted to try something new. I will continue to play with it and maybe the company will come up with something.. Thanks for trying to assist us.
Thanks for the info. Would you know how to fix a misfire. My GSG is an embarassment everytime I take it to the range. Clean the heck out of the bolt assembly with no luck.
Thanks bro. I have the GSG-16 & it uses the same mags & was thinking I needed to polish the feeding ramp to fix this issue....I would have never guessed it.
@PokeProfit I bs you not...after watching all three parts of your mag magic...I went & traded it today for a brand new ruger 10/22 with a 10rd mag,& I also bought a 25rd mag & a 100rd drum....it's the best 22lr I've ever had(runs like a champ)...it was actually what I was supposed to get before the GSG-16. I'm happy with it.
@@sixx6sixx107 yeah forget the photo. i was actually thinking like you, and buying a ruger tactical 10 22 too, the black version. theres one on gunbroker for $449.00 w one 25 rnd mag and collapsible stock. i just have to find a close by FFL after the holidays, alot of them went out of business around where i live so they are not close by me anymore
It actually is finicky with ammo as well I have the same one it definitely prefers high velocity. I did this trick about 2 years ago and still have problems if I'm not firing the right ammo
Damn, you jumped all over my fix for the same problem. In a related problem last few years I had stored my 522 mags fully loaded in an ammo can in the garage and had an accumulated amount of bullet wax in the magazine body(probably from the summer temps out in the garage) which I removed with "Gun Scrubber" soaked swabs and my cleaning rod. Without the tabs which I also removed like you did and the mag running "Dry" the mags work well. If I need it, I also carry a small shirt pocket cross point screw driver that can aid in loading the mag by inserting it into the hole vacated by removing the tabs. As can be surmised, I do not store the mags loaded in the garage anymore.
Has anybody tried the 100 round magazine to see if that jams too? i just bought one havnt been out to giver a try yet but im going to give this a try with my standard mags next time i go out I hope it works for me cuz its a fun gun to play with
I use Remington Thunderbolt, round nose solid point and find it is more reliable than hollow point and avoid altogether round nose flat point ammunition.
