My pilot and I (Medic) were halfway to Teterboro and the left engine of our Navajo quit. We, the great pilot, and I were able to limp back to base and pick up the other Navajo to continue the Med trip. Would not have been able to do that with a single engine bird. I would never fly Med-Evac with less than two skinny things up front.

In the airlines (Alaska A&P line crew) we looked for cord showing on our tires before changing them. If any cracking the tire rubber will also require them to be changed.

hey kay mark here from san francisco and based in half moon bay calif. congradulations on your piper twin. well im an cesna 310 owner yea just got it and its a c310D model from austin texas. anyway great up grade but remember you have 2 engines as well ,as double the costs of operation but enjoy it and hope too see you some day. good luck.

You are so blessed and lucky. I wanted to do my CPL, but alas, I only managed to complete my PPL on a 172, conversion to a 182 with Variable Pitch Prop Endorcement and my night rating. Flew 109 Hrs total. Aircraft rentels got more and more expensive and I couln'd afford it anymore. I envy you. Flying has been my life long dream since the very first time I laid my eyes on Airwolf back in the 1980's. Just another pipe dream now.

I am not a pilot but I am an avid MSFS2020 user. I'm running a high-end 4090 video card with a Pimax Crystal VR headset. My visuals are insane and I do use the drone camera a lot. I tend to favor smaller slow moving airplanes like a 172.. And I am set up for helicopters. It is getting close to time we find out what is in the all new MSFS2024. MS has a whopping 700 people working on it. The advent of "see-through" in VR is going to change everything again. This allows actual "hands on" adjustments to controls while still in full blown 3D VR. Custom windows show through. VR headsets today have advanced to just shy of human eyesight quality and at affordable prices. Keep your nose down, stay level, and remember a spin is the kiss of death. And don't turn into a dead engine no matter what some controller tells you. Some twins cannot recover from a spin especially if loaded down.

Good thing you got rid of that 180, all the Pipers will trap you in the plane when they flip over on any off field landing, as the overhead door handle gets jammed against the ground when the plane is upside down. Guess what happens when the plane is on fire.

Got to let us know when you come to Hemet. I just heard where someone else mentioned it and you said you have family there. I am in Menifee. But would love to see the plane in person. Only time I have been in a plane, in the air was at an air show at Riverside Muni probably 25 years ago as a kid. Hemet is about 15 min away. Just don’t come during fire season, the tankers will run you over lol. Fire season is not till about Sept/October and they have already going hard and we just hit June.
