I follow your recipes .Nice sambar recipe. One small tip. To avoid dhall water coming out of cooker nozzle, apply little oil in the inner portion of the lid especially on nozzle opening. Otherwise keep a small bowl over dhall inside the cooker. Lid and stove will be clean
this tip gvn abv is impractical. one has to just put rt qty of water n not more so tht it does not spill out whn whistling OR u cud monitor this by just tapping the whistle whn water cming out n lower flame n thn agn increase the flame
Your recipes are therapeutic as it relieves me from the stress of cooking for hours. Love the simple and healthy recipes you share. Besides my mom, it is you that I have derived my inspiration from when it comes to cooking.
This cooker has become a huge hit in my house with not only my husband but my kids too. I have recommended it to my co-sis my sils. Thx, i also used different veg & it tastes just as good
To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life.
People think it's obvious but it isn't. You need to specify that after the cooker whistle it's important to leave it as is for 20-30mins and then proceed with next steps. I know it takes away from the "15mins" recipe but again it's an important step n first timers will keep wondering why the dal/veggies aren't cooked enough
@Dalia M That is completely obvious to anyone who has cooked Indian food before. Anyone who doesn’t know how to use their cooking tools before they actually use them deserves the injury. You are not helpful.🤦♂️
It takes more than fifteen minutes to just take vegetables from refrigerator and wash it and cut it....no one can cook Sambhar in fifteen minutes.... even the tadka takes up time....
I know this is probably an easy recipe for an Indian, but I’ll try this for the first time once I can get my hands on all of the necessary spices needed. I live in Sweden so they’re not available in your everyday supermarket 🙈 However I like cooking and trying new recipes so it will be exciting to do.

Recipe was totally good........South peoples add tamarind extract to sambar for meals , for breakfast we use only tomato .....but we use ladies finger instead of beans ......Thank u hebbars kitchen...
Smashed the toor dal it's given the extraordinary taste for sambar may be also do the this type of mix veg sambar literally fine fantastic delicious recipe Thank you for sharing
I follow the same recipe but in a little different way. I grind tamarind, grated coconut and sambar powder with a mixer and then pour them into sambar. Also i put hing directly into sambar instead of with oggarane/tadka
I just made this recipe and started at 9:30 and finished at 11 and now finished eating at 11:30..so yeah took 1 hour 30 mins for doing everything from veggies prep to cooking lentils and everything else. It does not take 15 mins.
