I ended up using a flat-head screw driver to pry it off. Pain in the butt. The instructions could be more explicit for sure.

I have the same question does the mount work in both directions so that we are flexible how to attach the light (and maybe in addition a second mount for a separate powerbank)

The answer is: No, the side of the handlebar that your mount has to be mounted is tied to whether you want it mounted on top of the bar or under the bar. Under the bar = mount on the left, top of the bar = mount on the right. This would technically have been possible if the powerbank had rails on both sides of its barrel, but there's a good reason it doesn't: The mount extends forward a bit from the centre of the circle, to make room for the power bank when it's mounted under the bar. If it didn't extend forward, it would be hitting your headtube easily before you could secure it to the mount. Since it does extend forward, reversing the orientation by 180 degrees would have the effect that it extends in the opposite direction (directly into the headtube).

Thanks for the message. You can activate the powerbank without having to turn the light on. Just plug in the device you wish to charge and then do a quick press and release of the on/off button on the light. You should notice that the light does not turn on, however, the 4 leds on top of the light will switch on to indicate that the power bank is ready for charging. Knog tried that. It works for about 10 secs. All 4 lights flash and then it turns off. Pretty annoying.

Hi I am returning mine due to only giving me 20% of charge time and thats all it gives you. To use the charge feature just press the button for half a second which they dont mention on the instructions. I had to ring their technical support which they were very helpfull. The light itself has poor charging capacity and thats the reason iam returning it. The light brightness is great but shame on charging again. Safe riding.
