Great idea! Like this easy sketch and I have a lot of things I’ve printed and cut out to use in cards. I also love your jokes! I include them in the cards I send out to seniors and hope they like them as well.
Adorable sketch! When you said 1/2 inch strip, I got so excited because I'm someone who can not throw cute branding strips at the bottom of the paper or the hanging strips from the top of a paper pad away😂 I got an idea now...
If you have ribbon scraps that are long enough, that strip of cardstock could be a perfect place to substitute ribbon. Instead of an embellishment, you could add a circle, oval, whatever with your greeting on it over the ribbon. If I were to do this, I'd do something to tack the patterned paper pieces together at the seam, then wrap the ribbon around at the seam, adhere it to the back of the patterned papers, & adhere all that to my card base. For that, you can either adhere the patterned paper to a card front panel and then to your card base, or I'll often just add a wide-ish strip of scrap cardstock to the back along the seam, & adhere the panels to that. Of course, you can always wrap the ribbon around the front & inside of the card base if you have a top-fold card, or cut a slit in the fold and run the ribbon through that for a side fold. I just hate the look of that on the insides of my cards. But I've seen others do it, so that's also an option. Anyway, just a way to step things up beyond a simple cardstock strip. Thank you for sharing this, Jess. I always love your templates! In fact, I just finished killing the remainder (3 double-sided sheets) of a patterned paper pad that I've had literally for years, using 3 of your templates. All I have left to do is add greetings and/or embellishment(s). I am so grateful that you do these for us, & I can't recommend them enough. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I love this quick and easy tutorial! Thank you. Do you have a video tutorial about how you use Creative Fabrica images? How do you pick cardmaking images? What type of paper do you print them on? How do you cut them out? I would love to know. ♥
Glad it was helpful! Here’s a video where I share more about how I use Creative Fabrica: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tyFkjZYlqoc.html
