We spent £900 on 35 sq metres of unilin livyn balance click flooring, it was layed on to underlay that was not recommended by the manufacturer, but was recommended by the shop we bought it from. The underlay we bought was a lot cheaper, the shop said they use it all the time and it's fine, I still believe this to be the case.
With in 4 months the it started to delaminate in places, you couldn't say there was a link, some places were walked on lots other places it happened were low foot traffic areas. Areas with heavy furniture on were OK, areas we walked on lots were also OK, there was no link.
In case you're wondering, we let the liquid Screed floor it was layed on dry out for 3 months, it was the middle off summer and we had the heating on. We also let the floor cool before laying and the boxes of flooring were left in the room they were being layed in for days to acclimatise them.
I think Unilin (the manufacturer) were to blame but it was the poor shop who ended up replacing the floor.
I was passed back and forth from the shop to unilin and vice versa, it took 3 months to resolve. Unilin sent an"independent" floor inspection person out, independent, what ever!! They said moisture in Screed floor was OK, and they DID NO TESTING WHATSOEVER ON THE UNDERLAY we used. The "independent" inspector through his highly scientific method of not testing the underlay came to the amazing conclusion, it was my faulty underlay to blame for the floor failing. HOW CAN THIS BE IT WASN'T TESTED!! This is what you are up against with a Unilin floor, absolute jokers, they are definitely not interested what actually happened.
