@@RingwayManchester I know this is an old video but, throughout the later half of the video there is a dude “acting” like he is taking pictures. It is clear he is trying to listen in and suspicious of you LOL. Go to 11:38 in the video and watch for a few seconds. You will see the same guy return back and take a picture of your license plate, HAHA. Wonder what he thought was going on……. Like your videos and been watching a while. Your advice has been pretty much perfect.

its only 27 questions and you need to score 19 to pass, im sure you could do it mate. you could guess 19 easily its 4 multiple choice answers with some even on the form you get with your quiz paper

You guys have a *Lot* more territory to cover. And it's not all about raw power. With the right conditions, you can get halfway around the world with only a few watts. I'm on the middle tier of the UK 3-tier system and that limits me to 50w. The full license here has a max of 400 if memory serves, however, there are reciprocal agreements with many other countries once you're at the full level so unless you're in another country with that agreement with the UK that has a higher max power on their licence, us Brits can't go more than 400w. You've also got the cost of the electricity as well to consider, plus we're more "bunched together" housing-wise in the UK so there's more scope for interference with the neighbours if you're banging out more power than the local FM radio station!

You also said it works on 400+ megahertz can you use it on the radio that is 136 to 174, then 400 to 520 kind of spread across all those bands

This is simplex (direct) it's UHF only so 400mhz

@Nikola Gnječ Hi Nikola - agreed. I just can’t get my head around why Hams would want to spend loadsamoney on digital equipment just to destroy their speech! There were/are perfectly usable systems such as analogue HubNet and EchoLink/IRLP-connected Repeaters and Gateways which can be used by existing and less expensive analogue radios that don’t give you a headache trying to understand what is being said! Digital DMR/D-STAR/Fusion - biggest commercial con-trap that Hams have fallen into! Doesn’t detract from Lewis’ excellent videos, though. Keep ‘em coming, Lewis.
